A Thursday morning crash damaged the front of the Park Layne Subway and sent the driver to the hospital.

According to Sheriff reports, Michael Hardwood, of Milton Carlisle Rd., went off of the roadway on McAdams Dr. and drove into the front window of the Subway. There was no evidence that Hardwood tried to stop. He was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center to be checked out.

Hardwood was charged with OVI and Failure to Control.
