A juvenile was transported via Care Flight after a dirt bike accident in the 4500 block of W. National Rd. on Saturday, June 10.

Family members have confirmed that the juvenile, 16 year old Austin Stockdale, has succumbed to injuries from that accident.

According to Sergeant Ronnie Lemen with the Clark County Sheriff's Department, a 911 call was made shortly before 2pm in reference to a dirt bike crash on private property.

Stockdale, who was wearing a helmet,  was discovered by a family member on the side of the house. According to the family, Stockdale had crashed his dirt bike into a tree.

Deputies and medics arrived on scene and found Stockdale unconscious with “severe injuries” according to Lemen.

“The juvenile was transported to the hospital via Care Flight and we do not have follow up information at this time” said Lemen.

The accident remains under investigation by the Clark County Sheriff's Department, with assistance from the Springfield Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Bethel Township Fire & EMS responded to the scene.
