Sunday, January 18

3:30 a.m. Traffic stop on W. Jefferson St. at Cory St. The driver allowed a search of his vehicle and a wallet belonging to a woman was located. Inside the wallet was a syringe. The driver said that he was driving the woman around today. The syringe was submitted into property and charges are pending lab results.

7:58 a.m. To Wendell Ave. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend had physically beat her. The boyfriend stood up and was going to leave the room but was forcibly detained and handcuffed by deputies. During the struggle with the boyfriend, his face hit the floor causing injury. Bethel Twp. Medics were called, but the boyfriend refused treatment. The woman was transported to Huber Heights Medical Center for treatment, then was transferred to the Kettering Hospital Trauma unit for possible head, neck and internal injuries. The boyfriend was charged with assault, felonious assault, domestic violence and resisting arrest. The woman was given information on Project Woman.

12:58 p.m. To Whaley Rd. for a report of threats being made. A man reported that his attorney advised him that he could go to his ex-wife’s home to pick up his property. The wife said that court papers states that there is to be a mutual agreement between attorneys to schedule a pickup time of his items. The wife has a protection order against her ex-husband, but it has expired. Deputies have been called to this residence several times, and each time the parties were advised that this is a civil issue.

6:02 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a peace officer call. A man requested that a deputy accompany him to his mother’s home to pick up his possessions. The mother stated that the man could pick up his possessions, but that he was not to return to the residence. The mother’s sister-in-law stated that they had an active protection order against the man, but the deputy could not find a record of it. The man retrieved his possessions, turned over the keys to the residence and left the scene.

6:58 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a report of a possible fight. A woman had reported that her boyfriend and the father of her child were physically fighting. The boyfriend stated that he was sitting in his vehicle when he heard the father yelling at the woman. He said he got out of his vehicle and an altercation The father said that he was talking to the woman about posts she had made on Facebook about him when the boyfriend got out of the vehicle and an altercation ensued. Both men were advised that if they wanted to press charges, they would both be charged with assault. Neither wanted to do so. The Prosecutor’s office also declined charges against the men.

Monday, January 19

9:11 a.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that some time overnight someone took two metal chairs from his porch.

2:28 p.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone had taken his trash can. The trash company requested a report.

Tuesday, January 20

10:15 a.m. To Todd Lee Dr. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that she checked on her late father’s home to find that a flat screen television had been replaced with another. She also advised that numerous boxes of cigarettes were missing. She said that her father had numerous female friends who had keys to his home.

11:06 a.m. A New Carlisle business called to report a bad check. A woman reported that a customer asked that his check be held for a few days. She said that the check was returned for non-sufficient funds. She said that attempts to reach the customer have not been successful. The check was for nearly $8000.

1:17 p.m. To Frayne dr. for a report of an assault. A man reported that a man picked him up and took him to the Quality Food Mart. On the way back, he said the man struck him on the face. He said he was able to run from the car and go to a friend’s house. He wants to press charges.

6:02 p.m. To Troy Rd. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that someone had broken into her home through the side door. She said that her son checked the home and the only thing missing was a gallon pickle jar of change.

11:54 p.m. To Sandi Ln. for a report of a possible burglary. A man reported that he went to check on the property and found the garage door open. Deputies checked the interior of the residence and found no one there and that nothing had been disturbed. They did find pry marks on the door and that the thermostat had been changed from 55 degrees to 72 degrees. Deputies then found an ash tray with cigarettes in it. The residents do not smoke but their grandson does. Attempts to reach the property owners were unsuccessful.

Wednesday, January 21

7:00 a.m. To Langdale Dr. for a report of suspicious individuals. Two male subjects were reported standing by a vehicle, then left the area. The deputy was unable to locate the individuals. The RP said he found that three windows on his vehicle had been broken. He identified a suspect, but is not positive. Another neighbor stated he looked up the identified suspect’s picture on his Facebook page, and the identified suspect was standing by the vehicle.

9:59 a.m. To Addison-New Carlisle Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he is in the process of moving and that someone had taken his jet ski trailer. The garage access door had been tampered with. Further investigation showed that a washer was missing from the barn.

11:44 a.m. To Slayton St. for a report of menacing. A woman reported that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend has been causing her problems. She said the girlfriend came by her home and left a note on her mailbox that contained a Bible verse. She said that the girlfriend had harassed her so much on Facebook that she had to close her account. She said that the girlfriend also made unkind posts on her employer’s Facebook page. The girlfriend was contacted and denied leaving the note or making Facebook posts. The woman was advised on the process to obtain a protection order.

Thursday, January 22

1:25 a.m. Traffic stop on Rt. 235 near the New Carlisle Sports & Fitness Center. One of the occupants was found to be a juvenile and in violation of curfew. The girl’s mother was contacted and said that the girl was in bed. When she was informed that the girl was at the traffic stop, she said she was coming to get her. The girl smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot, watery eyes. A breath test showed a 0.047 BrAC. She then admitted to drinking alcohol. The mother was informed that the girl was being charged with prohibition and offenses involving an underage person. The mother said that the girl has done this before and that she wanted her daughter to go to jail. On the way to the jail, the girl said that a male frined put what she believes to be drugs down her pants. Once at the jail, she was searched and drugs were found on her person. She was also charged with two counts of possession of drugs and one count of trafficking in drugs.

7:00 a.m. To Rawson Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her stepson refused to get up to go to school. She said that when he finally got up, he refused to get ready. She said he became upset and called her vulgar names and walked out of the house. She said that as he left he struck her vehicle with his fist. She said that she feared for her life. The son was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Clark County Juvenile Detention Facility.

9:07 p.m. A deputy saw a female suspect enter the Family Dollar store on N. Main St. that he knew had outstanding warrants. The deputy spoke with the male driver who was obviously nervous. The deputy asked him to exit the vehicle, and saw two syringes on the seat. The deputy asked him to empty his pockets and about 12 capsules were in his coat pocket. The warrants on the female subject were found to be expired, but the male driver was found to have two outstanding warrants from Fairborn. A search of the vehicle yielded a bag of marijuana, over 60 capsules with power in them, a glass pipe, several syringes, brass knuckles and eight knives. Timothy Humphreys was charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug abuse instruments and carrying concealed weapons.

9:25 a.m. A Prentice Dr. resident called to report that someone siphoned the gas from his vehicle and also took the battery and catalytic converter. He said he has a suspect but is not sure.

12:25 p.m. A Slayton St. resident called to report that she has been receiving harassing messages from a female suspect. She said that the suspect has been following her around and taking pictures of her work and her vehicles. This is the second report she has filed on this suspect.

2:04 p.m. To Lakeshore Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her trash can was missing. She suspects her daughter’s ex-boyfriend and requested an extra patrol of the area.

3:13 p.m. To Jason Dr. for a report of vandalism. A woman reported that someone slashed all four tires on her vehicle. She suspects her ex-boyfriend who has accused her of slashing his tires and said that he would get her back.

5:57 p.m. To E. Main St., Medway. A woman reported that she found her dog, which had been missing since June, 2014, at a residence on Fair St. She said she confronted the residents who said that they found the dog about six months ago and were not going to give it back. She asked that a deputy accompany her to the Fair St. address, but no one was at home. She requested a report for court purposes.

6:28 p.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a peace officer call. A woman said she went to her son’s girlfriend’s home to drop off her granddaughter but no one was at home. She said that the girlfriend had been staying with her off and on since she broke up with the woman’s son. She said that the girlfriend came to her home to pick up her possessions and accidentally picked up some of the son’s possessions. She said she did not wish to press charges but wanted the items back.

7:55 p.m. To Winchester St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone stole a truck bumper that was sitting in his driveway. He suspects someone in the neighborhood.

8:16 p.m. To Queen Rd. for a report of a missing juvenile. A man reported that around 4:00 his 15-year-old daughter asked to go to her friend’s home on Tulip Rd. He said he gave her permission, but told her to be home by 7:00 p.m. She did not return. He said he went to the friend’s home and found that she never arrived. He said that she might be at her mother’s home in New Carlisle or might be hanging out with an adult male who drives a dark green Buick. The man called back on Friday to report that she had returned home.

11:54 p.m. To Plumwood Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her brother had been smoking marijuana and she told him to get out. She said that when he left he took her identification was missing from her purse. She said she believes he took them to make her mad.

Friday, January 23

4:36 a.m. To Aspen Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone removed a compactor from his work truck. He said that it would have required two people to remove it. There are no suspects.

11:26 a.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of identity theft. A man reported that someone had opened a Paypal account in his name. He said that he has been talking with them and believed that the matter had been resolved. He said he has been receiving statements from Paypal and believes that someone opened the account to get cash advances. He was given a report number to forward to Paypal.

2:32 p.m. To S. Church St. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her son’s .20 gauge shotgun, his TV and 6 pair of jeans were stolen from her home. She suspects her boyfriend. She said that he told her that she would get the items back when she moved out. She was given information on obtaining a protection order.

10:11 p.m. Traffic stop on Rt. 235 near the New Carlisle Sports & Fitness Center. The driver offered an international driver’s license and ID from Mexico. He said he got the license from the internet, and was informed that it is a fraudulent document. Dispatch advised that he had a prior conviction for driving with no license. He was found to have two Klonopans in a bag that he said belonged to his girlfriend. He was charged with no operator’s license, prohibitions and possession of a dangerous drug. He was taken to the Clark County Jail and immigration authorities placed a detainer on him.

Saturday, January 24

12:39 a.m. Traffic stop in the 2600 block of S. Rt. 235. As the deputy approached the vehicle, he could smell alcohol. The driver said that he had not been drinking, but spoke with slow, slurred speech. As he exited the vehicle, he used the door to prop himself up. He failed several field sobriety tests, and the deputy ended them prematurely for fear of the driver falling into traffic. A search of the vehicle yielded open cans of beer on the floorboard and a bag of white powder and marijuana. A passenger said that they had been drinking but knew nothing about drugs. The driver was charged with OVI, no tail lights, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Since the driver had a prior OVI, one passenger was intoxicated and the other passenger had no license, the vehicle was towed.

3:13 a.m. To S. Church St. for a report of vandalism. A woman reported that she returned home to find that her front door lock had been tampered with. She said that there was a piece of copper wire in the lock. When she removed the wire, she was able to unlock the door. She suspects her ex-boyfriend.

11:24 p.m. A Lambers Dr. woman called to report that she had just purchased a vehicle and that it had been stolen. She had not yet transferred the title to her name and that Huber Heights Police reported that they found the vehicle disabled on I-70. She was advised that the legal owner would have to report it stolen and that it would be a civil matter to get it back.

12:28 p.m. To S. Church St. for a peace officer call. A man requested that a deputy stand by while he retrieved his property from his girlfriend’s home. He was found to have a protection order that had not been served, so the deputy served the order and the man retrieved his property.
