Sunday, January 25

5:33 a.m. To Grove Rd. for a neighbor dispute. A man said that he was tired of the car doors slamming, loud music and loud party noises from a residence across the street. He said that he has talked to the residents and to their landlord but with no success in resolving the issue. The deputy spoke with two of the residents who said that the man complains about everything, and that they did not have music loud enough to be heard across the street. They were advised to keep the music down and to be respectful of their neighbors. The deputy reported that she could not hear any music coming from the home.

4:03 p.m. To Bowser Dr. for a welfare check. An anonymous reportee stated that a man had sent messages stating that he wanted his wife dead. The wife said that she has been ill for the past few days and did not believe that her husband wanted her dead. The husband stated that a “friend” uses his phone number and sends messages trying to cause problems.

5:05 p.m. A Kennedy Dr. woman called regarding “threats.” She said that she was awarded grandparent rights by the court for her 10-year-old grandson and that the child’s father is not happy with the decision. She said that when she picked up the child for her visitation, the father reluctantly released the boy to her and told him that he was grounded for going with his grandmother. She said that he told her “You think I bullied you before, just wait.” She was advised to contact deputies if she has any further problems.

9:41 p.m. To Weinland St. for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend took her vehicle two days ago during an argument. The vehicle was titled in her name, but the registration was in the name of the dealership. The boyfriend was contacted and stated that his girlfriend had given him permission to use the vehicle because she was intoxicated. He also said that she has refused to resolve the registration issue. The girlfriend was told where her vehicle was located and advised to contact the dealership regarding legal ownership.

10:15 p.m. To Weinland St. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that a former friend sold some of her property without permission and will not give her money from the sale. She said that she left the property with the friend after a yard sale in September. The friend stated that she trashed the property since the woman did not pick up the property.

Monday, January 26

6:42 a.m. To the 7500 block of New Carlisle Pike for a report of an accident. A driver westbound on New Carlisle Pike lost control on the ice, went off the left side of the roadway and rolled onto its side. The driver refused medical attention.

11:58 a.m. To N. Church St. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that a truck pulled up to her garage through the alley and took metal shelving from her driveway. A witness described the vehicle, and she believes that it is the same suspect who took a trailer from her property. The deputy saw the truck in the parking lot behind Security Bank and initiated a traffic stop. The driver was questioned about the theft and stated that a friend had been using his truck until about 11 a.m.

1:25 p.m. To Lambers Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he traded his Jeep Cherokee for a Chevy Camaro. He said that the woman who took the Jeep said that thevehicle had been stolen from her driveway. He said that the title had been signed over to her, but not registered with the title office. He said that he had to report the theft since he was the registered owner.

6:00 p.m. To Dogwood Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he placed his gun on top of his refrigerator lastnight, and this morning it was gone. He said his girlfriend, her cousin and brother were the only ones in the house.

9:13 p.m. To Kennedy Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman was being treated by Bethel Twp. Medics for stomach pain. Her boyfriend stated that he was arguing with her over the time she spends on the phone and on Facebook. He said she started “going off” on himwhen he tried to get her phone from her. He said he went across the yard to get her mother and the mother started yelling at the woman over her phone use. He said the woman then “went crazy” and her mother was hitting her with a toy trying to calm her down. The woman was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for evaluation because she is 4 months pregnant and showed visible injuries. A warrant was requested against the mother for domestic violence and assault.

Tuesday, January 27

9:09 a.m. To Beach Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that some time overnight, someone took his boat from the rear of his property. The RP called back later and said that his boat had been cut up at a residence on Oaklawn, and that the pieces were taken to a scrap yard. Deputies went to the Oaklawn address and saw wooden pieces of the boat on the property. The resident admitted to taking the pieces to a scrap yard, but that he did not steal the boat. Another male was also at the residence, and he said that he did not steal the boat. The second male had outstanding warrants from Miami County and from Springfield. Investigators took shoe prints from the vicinity where the boat was stored, and they matched the shoes of both suspects. Both were charged with receiving stolen property.

9:10 p.m. To Fenwick Dr. for a report of harassment. A man reported that his 14-year-old son had befriended a girl on Facebook. Soon after, a 17-year-old male subject contacted him and asked if the boy would like for the three of them to be intimate together. He said that he learned that the other male juvenile had tried to arrange a meeting with his son while the father was out of the house. He said he was able to contact the male subject at his place of employment, confronted the subject and told him that he was not welcome at his home. The male subject was contacted and said that the man came to his place of employment and was “out of line.” He said he finally threatened to call law enforcement to get the man to leave. He also said that the girl’s Facebook account was a fake account that he had set up. Both parties were advised to avoid contact with each other.

6:09 p.m. To McKees Mill Run for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that he was arguing with his 18-year-old daughter over her chores. He said that she was yelling at him, so he smacked her. He said her daughter then charged at him and his 16-year-old daughter got between them. He said he did not see what happened, but the younger daughter screamed out loud, then fell to the floor. The younger daughter said that her father and sister were arguing, that she tried to hold her sister from charging her father and that her sister punched her in her face. She had bruises near her eye. The older daughter said that she had accidentally struck her sister. The older sister was arrested for domestic violence and assault.

10:55 p.m. To the Crystal Lakes area. A woman reported that she found explicit photos of her juvenile daughter on the daughter’s cell phone. She was not sure if the girl had sent them to anyone or not. The girl said she does not recall sending photos to anyone and did not recall taking any photos. The mother is in possession of the phone and will remove the pictures.

Wednesday, January 28

8:00 a.m. To E. Main St., Medway for a property dispute. A man reported that he had lost his dog for several months, but recently found it at a residence on Fair Ave. The Fair Ave. resident stated that he had found the dog six months ago and was not giving it back. He said that the dog was in deplorable condition and needed medical attention when he found it. The Humane Society stated that they had no report when the dog was discovered missing. The Auditor’s office had no record of tags being issued for the dog. Both parties were advised that this is a civil matter.

9:30p.m. To Galewood Dr. for a report of a disturban;ce. A boyfriend and girlfriend stated that they had been drinking and began to argue. The boyfriend said that he got mad and told his girlfriend to leave his home. She said that she had lived there for a year and had no place else to go. She said she went outside and he locked the door behind her. She did not have her keys, so she broke a window to get in because her two children were in the home. Both parties agreed to stay separated for the evening.

Thursday, January 29

2:39 a.m. Traffic stop on National Rd. near Rt. 235. The driver (age 23) stated that power steering was out in the vehicle and that he had trouble controlling it. A 17-year-old female passenger said that the driver was her cousin and that she was supposed to be with him. Her mother was contacted and she stated that the girl was not supposed to be in New Carlisle, was not to be with the driver and was not related to him. The girl was cited for curfew violation and for being unruly. The driver was cited for marked lanes and for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.

5:50 a.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of an accident. An eastbound driver started to slide on the icy roadway and slid into the path of a westbound vehicle. He was charged with failure to control. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

6:10 a.m. To Lower Valley Pike for a report of an accident. A driver eastbound on Lower Valley lost control of her vehicle as she crossed over a bridge. The vehicle went left of center, continued sideways, then flipped over and came to rest on its top. She was transported by Bethel Twp. EMS for back and arm injuries, and was cited for failure to control.

9:31 a.m. To Quick Rd. for a report of theft. A man reported that overnight two individualsbroke into his business and took cash and other property. Surveillance video showed two subjects entering the building, then leaving with the property. They left in a white Chevy truck.

8:24 p.m. Traffic stop on McKees Mill Run. The deputy saw marijuana in the door of the vehicle. The driver also had metal pipes used for smoking. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Friday, January 30

12:09 a.m. To Whispering Wind Dr. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that she came home from work and found that someone had entered her home and taken firearms and electronic items. She said it seemed strange that they left a number of other valuable items. She said her boyfriend had left the home around 11:30 p.m. Attempts to reach the boyfriend were unsuccessful.

1:56 a.m. To W. Lake Ave. for a report of a disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend, who she said uses cocaine, was being aggressive with her. She said she asked him to leave but he refused to do so. She said he grabbed her by the neck and struck her in the face. The boyfriend was asked if he put his hands on her, and he said “Not the way she said I did.” The girlfriend signed a statement and the boyfriend was charged with domestic violence and assault.

7:43 a.m. To Lakeshore Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his girlfriend’s unlocked vehicle and took his satellite radio from it. He identified a suspect, but is not sure.

3:00 p.m. A Lake Rd. resident reported that on January 15, she was at a bar and lost her cell phone. The bar staff stated that no one had turned it in. She said that yesterday a friend told her that a woman was bragging on Facebook that she had the phone. The RP contacted the woman who stated that she found the phone and that it was not stolen. The woman also told the RP that she would never see her phone again.

Saturday, January 31

2:35 a.m. Traffic stop on Main St. at Galewood. The deputy could smell marijuana and asked the driver about it. The driver said that he had marijuana between the seats. The marijuana was located and the driver was charged with possession of marijuana.

2:39 a.m. To Crystal Lakes for a report of a young girl walking on a frozen lake. The RP said he saw the girl and that she was crying. He said that he and his wife asked her if she was OK and the girl just walked away. He said that she was not dressed for the weather. He said he recognized the girl, but deputies were unable to locate her. She was later found in Dayton.

7:30 a.m. To S. Hampton Rd. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that someone had entered his residence and took several items. The deputy located a rear window that was cracked open and the screen removed. Footprints in the snow led to a neighboring residence, then back to the street. It appeared that the suspect was watching the home. There are no suspects.

11:52 p.m. Traffic stop on 571 at Milton-Carlisle Rd. The driver, a juvenile female, pulled away after initial contact with the deputy. The deputy again pursued her for about a mile before the driver again pulled over. She said that she had never been stopped before and didn’t know how it worked. She was patted down for weapons and placed in the cruiser. An open bottle of wine and an empty beer bottle were found in the car. She at first denied drinking alcohol, but finally admitted to doing so. After field sobriety tests, she was charged with OVI, open container, lanes of travel and underage consumption.

Saturday, January 31

0104 hours Traffic stop in the area of South State Route 202 and East State Route 571 resulting in the driver being arrested for OVI.

1224 hours Telecommunications harassment in the 5000 block of Rudy Road. RP requested contact be made with an ex-boyfriend and request he stop calling her. Deputy was unable to contact the male directly but was able to leave a message that he not to send any further text messages or call.

Sunday, February 1

1938 hours Traffic stop for a speed violation in the area of South State Route 201 and US Route 40.

Probable Cause search revealed drug paraphernalia. A citation for speed and drug paraphernalia were issued to the driver.

Monday, February 2

0609 hours Disturbance reported at the A and R Reck Motorhome Park, 4220 US Route 40. Husband and wife had been arguing and wife said she was concerned husband could hurt himself. Speaking with the husband deputies found no evidence that he would cause harm.

1404 hours Disturbance reported at the A and R Reck Motorhome Park, 4220 US Route 40. Male and female verbally arguing in regards to the male’s health. Female agreed to leave the property.

Tuesday, February 3

1507 hours Deputy called to assist Bethel EMS in the 8600 block of Flick Road.

Wednesday, February 4

1644 hours  Burglary not in progress in the 8300 block of Wildcat Road. RP said an unknown subject made access to his detached shed. No leads at this time.

Thursday, February 5

0018 hours  Burglary not in the progress at Big Mikes BP Station, 8561 S State Route 201. Deputies dispatched to the listed address on the report of an alarm. Dispatched advised that it was an interior motion. While in route dispatch further advised they had a caller advising he just witnessed a red and silver Dodge truck strike the gas station at least twice. He also stated it appeared the occupants took the ATM machine. The caller further advised the truck just left and was heading eastbound on US Route 40. Clark County was advised to be on the lookout for this vehicle. Arriving on scene the deputy found a large hole in the front of the gas station and the ATM missing. The scene was processed for evidence. The surveillance video was viewed and two male suspects were observed. Before leaving the scene, the vehicle involved was recovered on Palmer Road. Case pending.

0115 hours Stolen property recovered in the 8600 block of Palmer Road. The getaway vehicle was found on Palmer Road. K9 Bear was deployed where he picked up on a track that headed south in the middle of Palmer Road. Bear ended the track at a barn located in the 8800 block of Palmer Road. It was found the suspects stole another truck from that location. Contact was made with the homeowner who advised that a green Ford F-150 was missing. A BOLO was sent to adjacent counties with the stolen vehicle information. Case pending.

0340 hours Theft not in progress in the 9800 block of Palmer Road. Homeowner advised a truck, generator and chain saw had been stolen.

0418 hours Recovered stolen property in the 9600 block of Palmer Road. Deputy found a green truck matching one stolen earlier in the night. Rightful owner was notified and would retrieve the truck.

0739 hours Trespassing complaint in the 4400 block of Lisa Drive. Business owner found footprints to the rear of the building. Nothing appeared to be damaged. A copy of the surveillance video will be provided to identify the subject(s).
