Sunday, September 20
4:05 am  To Whaley Rd. for a report of an assault. When the deputy arrived, a woman who appeared to be intoxicated tried to open the back door of his cruiser. She said “I’m getting in the back of your car.”  Her speech was slurred and she smelled of an alcoholic beverage. The deputy opened the door and she got in. A male subject was covered in blood and had a laceration on his upper lip. He said he had been out all night drinking with the woman, and when they returned to his residence, she became loud and belligerent and was disturbing his roommate. He said that he tried to calm her down but she began yelling at him and verbally fighting. He said that she “flipped out” on him and struck him in the mouth with a liquor bottle causing it to bleed. A squad was called and he was transported to the hospital. The woman wanted to be transported to an address in Donnelsville. Upon arriving in Donnelsville, she then said she wanted to go to an address on Dille Rd. The deputy went to the door at the Donnelsville address but could not get an answer. The woman was banging against the window of the cruiser, so the deputy told her to stop. She then said that she wanted out of the car. She was advised that she would be released to a sober adult. She then asked to shoot her in the head. She then said that she wanted to be taken to the hospital. When the squad arrived, she refused to go with them or with the deputy. She was cuffed and struggled with the deputy as he was trying to put her back into his cruiser. She was taken to the hospital and was forcibly escorted inside. She was uncooperative and disrespectful to the hospital staff. She also said that she was “going to get [the deputy], I promise.” She was charged with disorderly conduct.
4:21 pm  To Campbell Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone went into his garage and took some tools. There was no sign of forced entry. There are no suspects.
7:11 pm  To New Carlisle Pike for a report of a domestic disturbance. Dispatch advised that a man had assaulted a woman, that the woman had exited the vehicle and was walking west toward Folk Ream Rd. While enroute, the deputy saw the vehicle pass him near Tecumseh High School. He turned around and followed the vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop just west of Milton-Carlisle Rd. The driver said that he, his mother and sister were westbound on New Carlisle Pike when his mother, who was intoxicated, started “flipping out.” He said she tried to get out, so he pulled over and let her out. He said that she continued to argue as she walked down the road. He said he convinced her to get back into the vehicle. He stated that the argument did not become physical. Returning to the New Carlisle Pike address, the deputy found the mother sitting on the porch and slumped over. After several minutes of trying, she was finally awakened and said that nothing happened. She refused evaluation by medical personnel for her level of intoxication and told the deputy to “mind your own business.” She then asked the deputies to leave. She showed no signs of being assaulted. The man was found to have several open suspensions and was so charged.
11:30 pm  To S. Church St. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that she was doing some renovations to her home so she could move in. She said that when she arrived, her ex-boyfriend pulled up next to her and she got back into her vehicle, fearing for her life due to his past violent history. She said she locked the doors and rolled up the window, but he reached in and struck her in the head with his fist. She said that once she got the window rolled up, he began pulling on the door handle eventually breaking it off. She said he then began hitting and kicking the window. When she refused to open the door, he got into his vehicle and yelled “Don’t worry, I’ll get you again.” Warrants were issued against the ex-boyfriend for assault, menacing and criminal damaging.
Monday, September 21
10:38 am  To Aspen Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone took to laptop computers from her locked vehicle. The suspects had broken out a passenger window to gain entry. There are no suspects.
12:15 pm  To Cedar Rd. for a report of a wanted subject at that address. When deputies arrived, several people were in the driveway and the deputy recognized the wanted subject. The subject reached into his pocket and he was ordered to remove his hand from his pocket. In his pocket deputies found a rolled paper used for smoking marijuana. The warrant was confirmed, and he was arrested on the warrant and charged with possession of drugs.
3:51 pm  To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she has had ongoing problems with her daughter stealing money from her and writing checks without her consent. She said she entrusted her daughter with paying her utility bills, and has found that they have not been paid. She said that her daughter set herself up as a payee on her bank account and has taken between $3000 and $4000 from it. She also provided copies of two checks that the daughter forged. The daughter is now confined in the Montgomery County Jail, so a detainer was issued.
5:57 pm  To Glenapple Dr. for a report of vandalism. A man reported that someone damaged the rear window of his vehicle. Several marbles were found near the vehicle and are suspected to have caused the damage. There are no suspects.
Tuesday, September 22
3:58 am  To Milton-Carlisle Rd. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that she was walking with her boyfriend discussing their relationship. She said that he started talking about how she takes his money all the time and an argument ensued. She said that she took him home and he became combative in the car, throwing items as she was driving. She said that she asked him to stop and he punched her in the face. She said she stopped the car at Church & Jefferson and he got out and began walking down Jefferson St. A warrant was issued against the boyfriend for assault.
10:57 am  To W. National Rd. for a report of an overdose. A woman was located lying in the back yard of the residence. EMS learned that she had shot up heroin just before passing out. They administered Narcan and she started to respond. She said that she shot up $10 worth of heroin in her right arm. She was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was charged with possession of drugs.
11:14 am  To Milton-Carlisle Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that the father of her children called and wanted her to bring him his debit card. She said that when she arrived, he became upset because it took her too long to bring it. She said he reached into her vehicle and grabbed the keys. The man said that he had just purchased the van and hadn’t transferred it into his name yet, and that’s why he didn’t want her driving it. He refused to allow her to drive the vehicle home, so the deputy transported her to her home.
1:00 pm  To Fenwick St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that the mother of his children used his debit card without permission, making three charges totaling nearly $80. He said he has no idea how she got his PIN number.
Wednesday, September 23
2:06 pm  To Bookwalter Ave. for a report of an assault. A woman, who had visible injuries on her face, forehead and eyes, refused to talk about her injuries. Deputies learned that her boyfriend had beat and kicked her until his mother intervened. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. She was uncooperative and wanted to go back to her boyfriend because she loved him.
Thursday, September 24
9:41 am  To Styer Dr. A woman arrived home to find the locks on her home had been changed. She learned that the property had been winterized, on request from Bank of America. They were supposed to winterize the same house number on Fyffe. She said that the company said that they would make things right. She asked that the incident be documented.
4:45 pm  To Main & Jefferson for a report of an accident. A driver tried to pass a vehicle waiting to turn left, but struck the driver’s door.
5:47 pm  To Brubaker Dr. A woman reported that her child’s father was recently arrested for domestic violence against her. She said that the man’s mother made a post on Facebook about the incident. She said photos were uploaded, along with a short writing stating that the RP lied about the incident because she did not display any injuries. She said that there is a no contact order in place, but the deputy advised her that a Facebook post does not violate that order. She asked that the incident be documented.
Friday, September 25
12:34 pm  To Frayne Dr. A woman reported that she received a call from a female subject requesting tax paperwork so her client could work out child support payments. She said that she has a protection order against the client. The order was confirmed through Montgomery County. A warrant was issued for the client for violating protection order.
4:52 pm  To N. Main St. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that she picked up her daughter at a N. Main St. business and saw her daughter arguing with several other females. She said that she got out of her car and a white female punched her in the nose. She said that they began to fight and two strangers broke up the fight. The RP had a swollen nose, two black eyes and several scratches. A female involved in the argument stated that the RP was the instigator, and that she hit the woman in self-defense. Surveillance video shows both parties at fault, but neither wanted to press charges.
11:28 pm  To N. Church St. for a report of vandalism. Six panes of window glass had been broken in a vacant building. Two men standing nearby said they saw a man throw a car jack at the window several times. They identified him as the previous tenant. The property owner arrived the next day and requested a report.
Saturday, September 26
11:43 am  To Henry St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took some loose change.
5:59 pm  To Colony Trail for a report of a theft. A man reported that his son’s friend came to the home and was banging on the door. The son said he ignored her, hoping she would go away. He said she then went to the back door trying to kick it in. He said his son told her to go to the front door and he would let her in. Once in the house, she started going through drawers looking for his vehicle keys. As she was doing this, he said a male friend entered the home. He said that his son could not keep track of both of them, so he agreed to take them to Dayton. After they left, he noticed that some items were missing.

Friday, Sept 25
5:29 pm Traffic stop in the 7300 block of US Route 40.  Deputy responded to the area for an OVI complaint.  Upon arrival on scene, a female driver was found to be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.  The female was transported to the Miami County Jail and incarcerated for OVI.
Saturday, Sept 26
7:55 pm Traffic stop in the area of South State Route 202 and East State Route 571.  Vehicle was stopped for a speed violation.  The driver was issued a citation for speeding and driving under suspension.
Sunday, Sept 27
8:44 AM Traffic stop in the 8500 block of Wildcat Road.  Vehicle was stopped for expired registration.  When deputy spoke with the driver she said she had been stopped the night before for the same reason.    Due to the registration expiring in March and the driver continuing to operate the vehicle after being cited, the vehicle was towed. The driver was cited and released to a licensed driver.
Monday, Sept 28
11:36 PM Traffic stop in the area of Staley Road and South State Route 201.  Driver received a citation for lanes of travel, open container and OVI.
Tuesday, Sept 29
10;30 AM Fraud reported in the 4700 block of South Dayton Brandt Road.  RP had filed a tax return to learn that it had already fraudulently been filed.  IRS is investigating and a report was needed for records.  
Wednesday, Sept 30
2:38 AM Traffic stop in the area of South State Route 201 and Singer Road.  After further investigation the driver, John Roby, was arrested for an active warrant, OVI, lanes of travel and open container.  
Thursday, Oct 1
9:28 AM Unruly juvenile reported in the 7900 block of Singer Road.  Grandparent reported that the 17 year old grandson did not report to school.  It was reported the grandson ran away from home.
