Sunday, Sept 27

11:55 AM  To Weinland Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported receiving a text message from her ex-husband telling her that he took her vehicle from her residence. She said he would have had to have entered the residence to get the key. She requested that a report be taken for his taking the vehicle without permission. The ex-husband stated that he spoke with her about the vehicle and everything was OK until they started arguing about family matters. He said that he has used the vehicle in the past without any problems. He said that he would leave work immediately and return the vehicle.

Monday, Sept 28

5:47 PM  To Lincoln St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she has ongoing issues with her husband. She said that she was listening to music with headphones and that her husband tried to talk to her. She said she ignored him and tried to call her mother. She said that this made him mad and he tried to take the phone from her. When he was unsuccessful, she said he hit her in the forehead. She said her child started crying, so she left the residence with the child and called 911. She said he came outside and threatened to stab himself in the back to make it look like she did it. Warrants were issued against the husband for domestic violence and assault.

Tuesday, Sept 29

5:58 AM  To Shepard St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that his sister wanted him to store her vehicle at his home while she was in the hospital. He said he picked up one set of keys and the vehicle but could not find the second set. He said that his daughter wanted to use the vehicle but was told that she couldn’t. He believes that she has the second set of keys and that she took the vehicle to her home in Tennessee. He said he wanted to file a report in time hoping to catch the daughter before she arrived in Tennessee. He was unable to contact his sister due to the time of day and to her condition.

9:05 AM  To Kennison Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone took two tool bags from his vehicle. He said he heard his dogs barking around 11:00 or midnight, and he believes that the bags were taken around that time. He said that most of the tools had his name written on them.

3:13 PM  To Frederick Pl. for a report of a theft. A man reported that a friend took tools from his garage without permission. He said that about a week ago he allowed the friend and his girlfriend to spend the night at his home. He said that after they left, he found his tools missing and the garage entry door unlocked. He said he has been unable to contact the friend, but with the help of Englewood Police was able to recover some of his tools at the girlfriend’s mother’s home. He believes that the friend is staying at an Englewood motel.

4:10 PM  To Stratmore St. for a report of a custody dispute. A man reported that he has full custody of his children because the mother forfeited custody several years ago. He said that the mother came to his residence today and took the children without his permission. He said that the children are not happy living with him because of the structure and rules of the home and because he uses corporal punishment. He then decided to allow the children to spend the night with their mother and to decline pressing charges. He called back on Sept. 30 and advised that the mother did not send the children to school and wanted the incident documented.

Wednesday, Sept 30

5:59 AM  To Grissom Ave. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he caught someone in his vehicle, but delayed calling 911 for 30 minutes. He said he went outside to get some items then went back into his home to finish getting ready. When he returned to the vehicle, he saw a man in his mid to late 20’s with dark brown hair and light facial hair sitting in the passenger seat going through his glove box. He said he began yelling at the man who took off running toward Frayne Dr. He said he then went to work, but decided to return home to check on his family.

2:00 PM  To Woodbury Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she arrived at work to find that she had dropped her wallet somewhere. She said that it contained her driver’s license, credit card and other personal papers. She said that someone used her credit card to make charges at Richie’s Sunoco.

6:30 PM  To Woodbury Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her debit card had been stolen from her purse and was used to make about $600 worth of purchases. She is unsure of who took the card but knows where the purchases were made. She was advised to save all information.

7:06 PM  To W. National Rd. for a report of a violation of a protection order. A man reported that his wife had sent him a text message at 2:56 p.m. He said that he has a protection order against her prohibiting her from contacting him unless it was an emergency concerning their child. He said the text asked if the child would be riding the bus to her house next Wednesday for her visitation. The deputy visited the mother who admitted to sending the text. She was arrested for violating the protection order and taken to the Clark County Jail to await her arraignment.

7:09 PM  To Drake Ave. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that her son and another male were involved in an argument and some type of physical altercation. She said she took her son to the other male’s location so her son could apologize to the other male and his mother. She saw them at the corner of Drake and Brookfield and got into a verbal argument with the other mother. She said the other woman shoved her, then left on Brookfield. The other mother was located and said that the two were playing at the park and that the RP’s son had already apologized to her son. She said that the RP “got in her face” and was yelling at her. She said the RP came at her aggressively, so she pushed her back. No charges were filed.

8:48 PM  To Kennedy Dr. for a report of a hit-skip. A man reported that a vehicle had struck his and was parked in a driveway. The deputy approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver. She said she was unable to start the vehicle. He could detect an odor of alcohol coming from her. She almost fell when exiting the vehicle and said that a man did something to the engine to make it not work. The vehicle was in reverse and the key was in the accessory position. He put it in park and removed the keys. The driver said that she was at a party at a friend’s home in Crystal Lakes and drove around until she found her home. She denied having anything to drink but advised that she had taken some medications. The deputy again asked where she came from, and she said a friend’s home in Fairborn. She submitted to field sobriety tests and failed them. She was informed that she was under arrest for OVI, hit-skip and possession of marijuana. The RP said that he saw her hit his vehicle and followed her down Lake Rd. to Copey’s parking lot where she backed into a pole, then returned to Kennedy Dr., then looked around her vehicle then got inside. Another deputy verified damage to the pole at Copey’s. The damage to the RP’s vehicle matched damage on the woman’s vehicle.

10:35 PM  To Amy Dee Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she was involved in a verbal dispute with her husband because he believed she was cheating on him. She said she left the residence to go to a neighbor’s home to contact deputies. She said that there was nothing physical and no threats were made. She wanted a deputy to stand by while she collected some belongings and to wait for her mother to pick her up. The husband said he received photos of his wife with another man, and that just “a few words were exchanged.” The wife left with her mother, advising that she would not be returning.

Thursday, Oct 1

10:19 PM  To Oak Rd. for a report of an assault. A man reported that the victim was sitting in his garage watching him paint a car when a woman and another male came into the garage and hit the victim with a tire iron in the head, hand and leg. The victim said the woman is a former girlfriend but did not know the new boyfriend. He said she accused him of stealing from her, then she took his truck. The victim was transported to Miami Valley Hospital for evaluation. On October 2, the victim’s truck was located on Tal Shroyer near the ex-girlfriend’s parents’ home. The girlfriend was found to be living on W. Jefferson ST., but deputies were unable to contact her. The girlfriend and her new boyfriend have been charged with aggravated robbery.

Friday, Oct 2

3:00 AM  To Slayton St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A highly intoxicated man reported that he was involved in a physical argument with his girlfriend. He said she slapped and punched him several times in the face. He said he has a no contact order from Greene county against her, but Greene county officials could find no such order. While talking with the deputy, the girlfriend’s daughter arrived with her boyfriend and said that the victim and her mother were involved in an argument and she had to separate them. She said that both were so intoxicated that they could barely stand up. Due to conflicting reports, no charges were filed.

Saturday, Oct 3

10:25 PM  While sitting stationary on Weinland near Lemay, the deputy saw a vehicle run the stop sign, turn left and purposely fishtail, almost striking a parked car. He initiated a traffic stop and the driver admitted that he was wrong for driving that way. The K9 did an open air sniff and showed a change of behavior. The vehicle was searched and a small bag of marijuana was found in the console. The driver said he had just bought it. He was cited for the stop sign and for fishtailing, and was arrested for possession of marijuana and ordered into court.

Bethel Township

Wednesday, Sept 30

2:38 AM Traffic stop in the area of South State Route 201 and Singer Road. Vehicle was stopped for traveling left of the center line. Contact was made with the driver, John Roby and an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from his person. Also noticed in the vehicle were several twenty-four packs of beer that had open containers in them. Roby was asked and agreed to a series of standardized field sobriety tests. At the conclusions of the tests, Roby was placed under arrest for OVI. Running Roby through LEADS it was discovered he had an active warrant out of Miami County. Transported back to the MCSO Roby agreed to a breath test (.137 BAC). Roby was cited for OVI, lanes of travel, and open container. He was incarcerated for the active warrant for probation violation.

Saturday, Oct 3

2:55 PM Disturbance reported in the 6600 block of Walnut Street. Siblings had gotten into an argument because one had woken the other up by screaming. One sibling had left the residence before the deputy’s arrival but confirmed by phone the story of the other sibling. Since this was a verbal only argument, no charges were filed.

Sunday, Oct 4

2:23 PM Shots fired in the 6600 block of Palmer Road. Resident called 911 to report a bullet had hit the side of a barn on her property. Deputy was unable to locate where the bullet had been fired from.

Thursday, Oct 8

1:00 AM Disturbance reported in the 6300 block of Agenbroad Road. Mother had gotten into a verbal argument with her son over a school grade. Mother told the son to go and he decided to leave the property without her permission. Approximately 20 minutes later the son was located walking down State Route 201 near Ross Road. He was transported back to the residence and warned for being unruly.

7:40 AM Accident with no injuries in the area of South State Route 201 and Ross Road. After investigating the three vehicle accident, one driver was cited for stop sign and driving under suspension.
