Saturday 2/4

1:12 a.m. To Lake Rd. for a report of an assault. Deputies arrived to find a male victim who was hurt badly. He had several head injuries above his eye and on his forehead. He was not responding to verbal questions. The deputy went into the building and saw a large amount of blood on the floor. Medics put the victim into the squad, and as they were trying to start an IV, the victim came around and was being combative. HE was restrained and taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment. Medics advised that the victim appears to have suffered life-threatening injuries and possible brain injuries. A detective was dispatched to the scene. It remains under investigation.

9:47 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that overnight someone cut the fence around the business and stole five batteries from vehicles. There are no suspects. The man requested extra patrols during the night.

Sunday 2/5

3:03 a.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the combatants had already left, except for one. The woman said she was waiting in line when subjects in the car behind her started yelling at her. She said the vehicle then pulled around her and threw items at her. She said the car then pulled around her and ran up on the curb, then left. She said it did not become physical or did anyone make threats to her. She asked that the incident be documented.

8:22 a.m. To the area of Styer Dr. and Bellows to search for a wanted subject. The deputy found the subject, Scott Wilson of Woodglen Dr., and took him into custody. He had two local warrants and a fugitive warrant from Hancock County. He was taken to the Clark County Jail.

10:06 p.m. To Prentice Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend over the phone. She said she wanted deputies to contact him and tell him that she no longer wants any contact with him. The deputy tried to contact the boyfriend, but did not get an answer on the phone. The deputy left a voice mail message. The woman left the area, and when she returned home, she found the front door standing wide open. She called 911 to have her house checked. Deputies did so, and everything appeared to be OK. The boyfriend then returned the deputy’s call and he was advised not to contact the woman again.

Monday 2/6

4:24 a.m. To the 1200 block of Frayne Dr. for a report of a wanted suspect at that location. Deputies entered the home and found Charles Wiley, of Stratmore St., in the residence. He was taken to the Clark County Jail for his outstanding warrants.

Tuesday 2/7

8:49 a.m. A Tecumseh Middle School employee reported that a student complained that his dad abused him. The student said that he and his father had an argument before school. He said they were arguing about shoes and the argument became physical. He said his father pushed him and he bumped his head on a wall. The boy’s story changed multiple times on how the argument became physical. Deputies talked to his sister, but she could not confirm exactly what happened. Both said that the house was falling apart. They said they have food and water, but the house is a disaster. Deputies then went to the High School to talk to their older brother. He said he has not lived there in quite some time due to the conditions of the house and his father’s behavior. Deputies then went to the house and spoke to the father, who said that there was an argument and it became quite heated. The house was dirty and cluttered. A Sergeant said that there were some structural concerns and asked the dad to let the kids stay elsewhere until the house could be fixed and cleaned. Children’s Protective Services was notified.

10:47 a.m. To Carman Ave. for a report of an assault that occurred at Tecumseh High School. A girl said that when she walked into school this morning, another female student began threatening her and cursing at her. She said the other student is her ex-boyfriend’s sister. She said the sister threw her to the ground and started hitting her in the face and body until a school employee pulled the two apart. She said she did not hit the sister back. She said they were both called to the Principal’s office, then sent home for the day. The deputy consulted with her sergeant who said that the school resource officer was aware of the incident, but was tied up with another incident involving other students. The resource officer tried to contact the sister, but did not get an answer on the phone or at the door. Charges were to be filed.

11:15 a.m. To Tecumseh Middle School. The principal said that a bus driver reported finding a folded paper containing white powder on the bus. School officials were going to review security video to see of a suspect could be identified.

11:36 p.m. To Carman Ave. for a report of a fight. Two sisters were located, and one said the other was disrespecting their mother and that they got into a fight over it. She said they were outside fighting and pulling har, but that it was over and they have put it behind them. The sister related a similar story. No charges were filed.

Wednesday 2/8

1:46 p.m. To Tecumseh Middle School for a report of an assault that happened on S. Adams St. A female student said that her mom came into her room and told her to get off the phone and that she should just kill herself. She said that her mom pushed her causing her to fall and bruise her elbow. She said her mom then hit her in the chest at least twice. She said her mom’s ring caused scratches on her. She said she was afraid to go home. The mother said that she never touched her daughter. She said that she and her husband took the girl’s phone because of inappropriate texts. She said she was never alone with her daughter, and did not know why the girl would make those claims. While watching the mother fill out her statement, the deputy noticed that the mother was right-handed, and that the only ring she was wearing was her wedding ring on her left hand. The school was informed that no charges would be filed because the girl’s claims were unfounded. The deputy was later called to the residence because the girl had told her mother that she had made up the story. The girl said that she was mad at her mom, and a friend told her to cut herself and blame her mom. She said that she was mad because her parents took her phone.

Monday 1/30

7:04 p.m. Traffic stop for speeding in the area of S. State Route 202 and E. State Route 571. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Bradley Rickels, and reason or the stop explained. Rickels informed the deputy that his license was under suspension. Rickels was cited for speed, running traffic control lights and driving under suspension. Rickels and the vehicle were released to a valid operator.

Thursday 2/3

6:27 p.m. Traffic accident with no injuries reported in the 2400 block of Ross Road.

6:33 p.m. Drug offense in the 9300 block of S. State Route 201. RP called 911 to report a male was found passed out in a truck in the parking lot. He also advised another male was administering CPR to the individual. After deputy arrived on scene he was advised by Bethel EMS they had administered six (6) doses of Naloxone and was able to revive the male and then transported him to Huber Heights Medical Center for treatment. Deputy spoke with the RP who advised he had returned from lunch to find the vehicle sitting in the lot. As he drove by he noticed the occupant was slouched over the wheel, he pulled over and attempted to wake the male. The RP retrieved another person to assist and they found the male was unresponsive. Deputy responded to the ER and made contact with the male, identified as Jon Spencer. He stated he had been at a friend’s house in Springfield where he had snorted a line of Heroin. He and a friend got into his truck and began to drive to Huber to another friend’s house. During the drive he passed out, when he woke up he was in the parking lot and his friend was gone. Spencer was charged with drug abuse and will be summonsed into the Miami County Municipal Court.

Sunday 2/5

00:41 a.m. Traffic stop for speeding in the area of Pisgah Road and E. State Route 571. Andrew Joseph Wilson was issued a citation for speeding, possession of marijuana, possession of hashish and drug paraphernalia.

4:06 a.m. Traffic stop for turn signal violation in the area of US Route 40 and S. State Route 202. Contact was made with the driver Adam Prater and a passenger; reason for the stop was explained. Prater acknowledged the violation by stating his right turn signal stopped working that day. While the deputy was speaking with them he could smell an odor of burnt marijuana emit from the vehicle. Prater was questioned about the odor and he stated he had marijuana in the vehicle and handed over a clear bag containing green plant material that smelled like raw marijuana. Prater and his passenger were asked to exit the vehicle and secured in the back seat of the cruiser. Located in the center console where Prater pulled the clear bag was plastic bong that contained burn residue and another clear bag containing green plant material that also smelled like raw marijuana. Prater was issued a citation for failure to signal, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday 2/6

2:44 p.m. Disturbance reported in the 6700 block of Singer Road. Male reported he had a verbal dispute with a live-in girlfriend. He further claimed he is being emotionally abused by her.

Tuesday 2/7

9:21 a.m. Fraud reported in the 5200 block of Studebaker Road. Male called Sheriff’s office to report an identity theft. He stated someone had applied for a credit card using his information. Chase Bank froze the account and he had already spoken to Experian to monitor his credit. He had not lost any money but requested a police report in order for the bank to continue their investigation.

11:25 a.m. Fraud reported in the 6500 block of Studebaker Road. Female called to report that her credit card might have been scammed at a local gas station.

1:50 p.m. Assist squad at Big Mike’s BP, 8561 S. State Route 201. A male was reported to be passed out behind the wheel in the parking lot. Clerks reported he then went inside the building and said he was “definitely on something”. Bethel squad was dispatched and they witnessed the male exit the building, get in the vehicle and leave the gas station. Deputy was able to located the vehicle and observed several lane violations. A stop was initiated at US Route 40 and Palmer Road. At the conclusion of the stop, driver Aaron Cox was arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence.

Wednesday 2/8

8:16 a.m. Male reported credit card fraud in the 4300 block of Rudy Road.
