1:10 p.m. To Stafford Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she was involved in a verbal argument with a family member. The family member left the residence until both parties could calm down.

Sunday 4/9

1:03 a.m. To Brubaker Dr. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she suspected a friend of stealing her wallet. The friend said that he did not steal the wallet and that the woman is always misplacing things.

Monday 4/10

2:58 p.m. Deputies went to Klose Ave. and arrested an individual on a warrant. The warrant was issued for failure to appear on a charge of heroin possession.

Tuesday 4/11

1:31 a.m. To Cindy Ct. for a report of menacing. A 22-week pregnant woman reported that her ex-boyfriend was stalking her. She said that when she told the boyfriend that she was pregnant, he told her to get an abortion. She said she told him she would place the child up for adoption, and the boyfriend got mad. She said that he followed her numerous times. She said that he has assaulted her in the past, but was afraid to make a report. She said that she is very scared of him and of what he might do to her. She was given information on obtaining a protection order.

5:48 a.m. To Prentice Dr. for a report of a domestic dispute. A man reported that his son was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The son said that his brother had thrown an object at him and that his father and his brother were ganging up on him. While on the line with a 911 operator, the son said that he would burn the house down with everyone in it. When asked about the statement, he denied making it. The RP said he was afraid for his safety due to his son’s drug use and that the son would probably set a fire to prove a point. The son was arrested for Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing and taken to the Clark County Jail.

Wednesday 4/12

11:39 p.m. To W. Jefferson St. to check for a suspected “Grow Operation.” The RP said that the resident is growing marijuana and selling marijuana and other drugs. She also advised that there is a juvenile in the residence and she is concerned for the juvenile. She said she reported this yesterday and received a threatening text message. She is upset that nothing is being done. The RP, who was calling from Southern Ohio, said that she filed a report with her local police department and has been in contact with Children’s Services. When a deputy called her, she acted like there was a bad connection on the phone.

Thursday 4/13

8:59 p.m. To Greenheart Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he put a down payment on the property, and today noticed that the air conditioning unit was missing.

9:25 p.m. To Lakeshore Dr. for a report of a domestic dispute. A woman reported that her son is “acting out.” She said he wouldn’t get ready for bed, so she disciplined him. She said he spit in her face and was banging his head on the wall. No further information was provided.

Wednesday 4/5

1:53 p.m. Deputy requested to assist squad in the 8100 block of Wildcat Road. Upon deputy’s arrival Bethel EMS were inside a bedroom talking to a male that was laying on his back. EMS members were helping the male stand up and one asked “how much heroin did you take?” The male, later identified as Matthew O. King, stated “none, I didn’t take anything.” The EMS member then stated he had to give King 4 mg of Narcan to bring around and, asked him again how much heroin he took. King stuck with his statement and would not say anything else. King was escorted to the ambulance and transported to an area emergency room for treatment. Deputy looked around where King had been laying for any evidence of drug usage. Only thing located was an orange cap from a syringe. Deputy spoke with a female who said she had overhead King and another female say they were going to get some heroin. She stated they left for a short while, returned and went into the bedroom where King had been found unresponsive. She also stated while King was being tended to the other female walked out of the bedroom with a needle/syringe and a spoon. The female agreed to give a written statement on what she had observed. When the deputy ran a check on King it was found that he is currently on probation in Montgomery County. Deputy left a message for his probation officer. Since there was a small child in the residence, a copy of the report will also be send to Miami County Children’s Services. With the female’s statement, the need for Narcan to bring King back around, his history of heroin use and the remaining totality of the circumstances of this call, it was determined Matthew King will be charged with one count of drug abuse for taking some form of opiate. Deputy will request a summons to be issued through municipal court.

Friday 4/7

5:41 p.m. Welfare check in the 8700 block of New Carlisle Road. Juvenile female was having thoughts of harming herself. Caretaker will keep an eye on the juvenile and seek a mental health profession in the near future to meet with them.

Sunday 4/9

3:10 a.m. Traffic stop for equipment violation at Big Mikes, 8561 S. State Route 201. Deputy approached the male driver, identified as Jess Ehler, and advised him the reason for the stop. Ehler was requested to show his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. While speaking with him an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from inside the vehicle. Deputy also noticed a knife in the center console of the vehicle. Due to Ehler’s unusual nervous behavior he was requested to step out of the vehicle to speak with the deputy. When asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, Ehler became nervous and stated he honestly didn’t know. Not detecting alcohol on Ehler, deputy returned to the vehicle to speak with the front seat passenger, Austin Knox. While speaking with Knox, again the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected coming from the vehicle. Knox denied consuming any alcohol that evening. But, deputy observed a can of beer in plain view behind the passenger seat. Ehler and Knox were both under the age of 21 and could not possess alcohol. Knox denied having any knowledge about the beer. But, Ehler admitted to having a case of beer in the trunk. Eventually Knox admitted the beer in the backseat belonged to him and he had consumed beer that evening. Found in the center console of the vehicle were two, what appeared to be fake, driver’s license with Ehler’s photo and information on both. He admitted the ID’s were fake and he had purchased from a place in China. Ehler was issued a citation for the license plate light, underage possession of alcohol and possession of a fake ID. Knox was issued a citation for possession of alcohol. Both were made aware of their mandatory court dates and released.

Monday 4/10

8:55 p.m. Welfare check in the 4200 block of Lisa Drive. Female called dispatch to report a male had made comments that he wanted to harm himself and took off to an unknown location. She stated they had a fight and he told her to plan his funeral. She further advised he had call several family members to say goodbye. Dispatch contacted Clark County to check his residence. A ping was completed on his cell phone that showed the male was heading westbound on I70. State Patrol was notified of this information and a BOLO was issued that he should be stopped and his welfare checked.

Tuesday 4/11

6:44 p.m. Unruly juvenile reported in the 5100 block of Westland Drive. Mom advised her eight year old son was yelling and hitting himself. She asked the deputy to speak with him. Deputy spoke to the child and explained what could happen if he kept this kind of behavior up. Little guy said he was sorry and mom was advised to call 911 if she had any more problems.

Wednesday 4/12

5:54 p.m. Disturbance reported in the area of S. Fifth and Walnut Street. An unknown caller reported a male and female were physically fighting in the 6600 block of Walnut St in Brandt. The caller advised the male kicked the female to the ground. Upon arrival deputy spoke with the couple. They advised they were arguing when the female walked off, tripped and fell. They both said the argument was verbal only. Deputy advised them of the current domestic violence laws and asked them to separate for the evening.
