Saturday 6/24

8:59 a.m. To W. National Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend was making inappropriate comments and she asked him to stop. She said he began following her around the house calling her vulgar names. She said she told him that she was going to call a friend because she was starting to get scared. She said he told her that if he found anyone else in the house, he would beat them up. She said his boss then came to pick him up for work. She said she is concerned about the threat because he has been physical in the past. She signed a complaint, the boyfriend was picked up at work and taken to the Clark County Jail and charged with one count of domestic violence, threats of harm.

9:09 p.m. To N. Main St. for a report of a found item. A store employee reported finding a syringe in the restroom.

Sunday 6/25

5:14 p.m. To N. Church St. for a report of an assault. A woman reported that a friend had slapped her daughter. She did not wish to press charges, but wanted the friend trespassed from her property.

Monday 6/26

9:05 a.m. To Bookwalter Ave. for a report of a possible scam.

Wednesday 6/28

11:40 p.m. To New Carlisle Pike for a report of an assault.

Thursday 6/29

7;25 a.m. Traffic stop in the 600 block of S. Main St. The motorcycle was found to be stolen. The cyclist said he traded the bike for dope. The deputy asked for the keys, and the cyclist said he did not have them. He was charged with receiving stolen property.

10:21 a.m. To Frayne Dr. for a report of a custody dispute.

12:16 p.m. To S. Hampton Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her vehicle was stolen.

Bethel Twp - Miami

Saturday 6/24

3:34 p.m. Neighbor complaint in the 6800 block of US Route 40. Deputy spoke with RPs who advised they have been having issues with their neighbor harassing them. The RP stated the day before the neighbor sprayed some kind of grease on their outside cameras that are attached to their home surveillance. RPs requested the deputy speak to the neighbor and write a report so they could document it with their attorney. Deputy went to the neighbor and asked if he had sprayed anything on his neighbor’s cameras. He stated he was spraying for bees and wasps and may have accidentally got some on their cameras. Deputy told the neighbor to be careful around other people’s property.

Sunday 6/25

5:38 p.m. Burglary not in progress in the 6900 block of US Route 40. Deputy responded to an unoccupied house that had been broken into. This case is pending further investigation.

Monday 6/26

9:35 a.m. Assist squad in the 4400 block of S. State Route 202. Deputy was dispatched for male who had overdosed. Upon Deputy’s arrival Bethel Squad administered 2 mg of Narcan and the step-father had administered 4 mg of Narcan prior to the squad’s arrival. A Deputy located a syringe along with two empty caps and three full caps of heroin located on the bed next to the male. Bethel Squad transported him to UVMC for medical evaluation. The syringe and caps were collected and booked into evidence in the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

5:35 p.m. Theft not in progress in the 6700 block of US Route 40. An unattached garage had been broken into on March 29, 2017. No other information was provided but the report had this case as being closed.

Tuesday 6/27

8:14 p.m. Civil dispute at Sunshine MHP, 6205 US Route 40. Complainant said she had property at this residence and wanted it back. The resident voluntarily let the Deputy look through the trailer for the property in question. None of the items were found and there was no proof anything criminal occurred. This case is closed.

Wednesday 6/28

11:27 a.m. Welfare check in the 4200 block of US Route 40. A person from the Crisis Center in Clinton county contacted dispatch and wanted a deputy to check on a male. Upon arrival at the residence, deputy spoke with the male who stated he left his hometown and traveled to this residence to get away from a female. The male denied stating he wanted to hurt himself or anyone else and refused any medical treatment stating he had an appointment in July. Deputy contacted the caller and advised everything was OK.

7:14 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of Scarff Road and US Route 40. Traffic stop was initiated for an expired registration on a Pontiac Vibe. At the conclusion of the stop, the driver was arrested for possession of drugs and issued citations for other offenses.
