Sunday 11/29

9:14 a.m.To Styer Dr. for a report of breaking and entering. A man reported that someone pried the lock hasp on his shed to gain entry and took several items. The suspect also placed several items outside the shed, possibly for pickup later. A smoked cigarette was found near the shed and was submitted for DNA analysis.

11:06 a.m.To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of vandalism. A man reported that his vehicle’s hood was damaged two days ago. It appeared that the hood had been hit with a baseball bat. The man said he has no idea who would have done this or why. He requested a report for his insurance company.

Monday 11/30

6:55 a.m.To Kennedy Dr. for a report of a possible protection order violation. A woman reported that she has a protection order against her child’s father, and that the father had contacted the child on Facebook. She said that the daughter was not listed on the order. She asked that the incident be documented.

7:30 p.m.To White Pine St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that $580 in cash was taken from his father’s home between November 16 and November 27. He said that his father had allowed a friend to stay with him and that the friend’s girlfriend came to visit quite often. He said that his father became suspicious of them when he found a spoon and a capsule hidden under a mattress. He said that around 6:00 p.m. on November 27, he noticed that the cash was missing. He said he confronted the woman about it and she became defensive and was acting suspiciously. The friend had been kicked out of the residence and he and his girlfriend were trespassed from the property.

8:30 p.m.To the 500 block of S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a deer strike. The deer was killed and the vehicle sustained heavy damage, but did not need towed.

10:05 p.m.To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a private property accident. A driver struck a handicap parking sign post causing damage to his vehicle.

Tuesday 12/1

1:00 p.m.To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her bank card was missing. After checking her account, she found that there had been four ATM withdrawls in the Fairborn area. She said that only her brother and her ex-boyfriend had been in her home, and that she has had problems with her ex-boyfriend stealing from her in the past. She said that he had admitted to taking $3 from her night stand. She said that she would like to press charges.

3:10 p.m.To Fair St., Medway, for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that he was moving out of his home and his girlfriend became upset and pushed him, causing him to lose his balance and fall. He did not have any visible injuries and refused to sign a statement. The girlfriend said that she did not touch him, and that the man could take his property. She said that if he cannot get it all today, she would prefer that a peace officer accompany him when he returns. The man gathered a few items and left.

6:00 p.m.To White Pine St. for a report of identity fraud. A man reported that several accounts at several establishments have been opened in his name. He said that he called them all and closed the accounts. He also advised that no money had been stolen. There are no suspects.

Wednesday 12/2

5:02 a.m.To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had been using her credit card to pay for online games. She said that there are several transactions going back to November 3 totaling $377. She said that she has cancelled the card.

5:55 a.m.To Main & Jefferson Sts. for a report of an accident. A driver southbound on Main St. stopped to turn left onto Jefferson St. and was rear-ended by another southbound vehicle. The second driver was cited for assured clear distance.

7:14 a.m.To W. National Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that he was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, and that it never became physical. He wanted documentation that nothing happened.

Thursday 12/3

3:25 a.m.Fairborn Police requested that a warrant be served on Fenwick Dr. They advised that the subject is a member of a white supremacist group and has made prior assaults on police officers. Three deputies responded and covered all doors to the home. They could hear a male voice inside the residence. They knocked, the suspect opened the door but a large dog started to come out, so the suspect closed the door. An elderly female then came to the door and asked why the deputies were there. She was advised of the warrant. After some discussion, a deputy was allowed inside the home and learned that the suspect left through a bedroom window. The deputy at the rear of the home reported that no one left the back of the residence. The suspect was soon located and he advised that he had just had major surgery five days ago. He showed the incision wound. Fairborn police was advised of the situation, and they stated that they wanted the suspect arrested. The deputy contacted his Sergeant and learned that someone with that medical condition would not be accepted at the jail. Fairborn Police were contacted and met the deputy at the Shell station on Rt. 235 and I-70, where the suspect was turned over to Fairborn Police.

10:25 a.m.A Milton-Carlisle Rd. resident went to the New Carlisle Substation to report that someone tried to poison his dog. He said that his dog carried a bag of rat poison into his home. He said he checked the yard and found three more bags of rat poison. He said that his dog will be OK, but it cost him $107 in vet bills and a day’s work.

Friday 12/4

3:37 a.m.To W. Main St., Medway, for a report of a theft. A woman reported that she was awakened by noises coming from her driveway. She said she looked outside and saw a male suspect running from her mother’s vehicle. She identified him as tall, slender and wearing a grey hoodie. She said he ran through the yard and hurdled over the fence. She said he then continued through a neighbor’s yard, then went into an overgrown field.

11:15 a.m.To Brubaker Dr. for a report of found property. A woman reported that she saw a woman with a child set a package down in the corn field. She said that after the woman left, she and some friends went to see what it was. They found a coffee maker, and took it back to the store. As the deputy was leaving the business, he saw an older model Honda coming from the area where the package was located. He contacted the owner who said that a friend was using his vehicle until hers is repaired. The deputy contacted the friend who stated that she took a friend to the ball field to pick up something. She said that when they arrived, the friend said “It’s gone.” The deputy then contacted the store and viewed surveillance video of a woman taking the coffee maker without paying for it. The coffee maker was returned to the store, and a store employee said that a copy of the video would be made available to deputies.

Saturday 12/5

9:35 a.m.To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a theft. A man reported that he looked outside and saw his vehicle’s passenger door open. He also saw that a neighbor’s car window had been broken. He said he went outside and found that several tools had been taken from his vehicle. He provided a list of stolen items. The neighbor had also contacted deputies after the RP informed her of the incident. She said that a laptop computer was taken from her vehicle. She said it was a work computer, and that she could get identifying information from her employer.

11:35 a.m.To Gerlaugh Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone entered her vehicle and took a new car seat, a book bag and several other items. She said that her father’s garage door opener was missing, and that he was reprogramming the door opener.

11:52 p.m.To Glenapple Dr. for a report of a theft. A man reported that someone entered his vehicle and took his tool box and medication. He said that a friend had been at his home earlier in the evening. A neighbor reported seeing the friend leave the man’s yard when the man was not there. He said that he sent his son to the friend’s home, and he returned with his tools but no medication. Deputies went to the friend’s home, and he kept talking in circles and was not making any sense. He said that he found the RP’s items on the street, but then admitted to taking them from the RP’s vehicle. The friend was found to have an outstanding warrant, so he was taken to the Clark County Jail. He was also charged with two counts of theft and ordered into court.
