On 11/4/11 at 01:33 a.m. the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received a 911 call reporting that a juvenile was at their door screaming.
A second call was received from another resident nearby stating that a juvenile was at their door and the juvenile stated that his mother was in a fight with her boyfriend and another woman at 419 Weinland St. Deputies responded and EMS personnel were put on standby. Upon deputies arrival the suspects had fled the scene. Through the deputies investigation it was learned that Robert Bassett and Lea Bassett (his sister) had arrived at 419 Weinland St. and confronted the victim about a previous domestic dispute several days ago. An altercation ensued between Lea Bassett where she displayed a knife at the victim and threatened to stab her. Robert Bassett proceeded to physically assault the victim. The juvenile fled the residence to get help from the neighbors and at that time the suspects fled the area. Deputies were unable to locate either suspect after checking several locations. The victim was transported to a local medical facility for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Arrest warrants are being requested for Robert Bassett and Lea Bassett for the below listed offenses: Robert Bassett, 36, Domestic Violence; Assault, Intimidation of a Crime Victim Lea Bassett, 39, Felonious Assault Comments (0) |
