Sunday, April 29 1:19 a.m. – To White Pine St. for a report of a domestic issue. Man reported that his juvenile stepson came to his residence intoxicated, was being unruly and yelling at him. He said the stepson charged him but that he took the boy to the floor to get control of the situation. The stepson was charged with domestic violence, being unruly and underage drinking. He was taken to Springfield Regional Hospital for treatment of minor cuts, then was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. 3:09 a.m. – To Fyffe Ave. for an anonymous call for a welfare check. The reporting party stated that there was a loud party at the home and that several juveniles appeared to be intoxicated. When the deputy arrived, four or five subjects who were in the front yard quickly went into the home and closed the door. One male subject remained outside and he could barely talk and appeared to be extremely intoxicated. He stated that he had had 4 or 5 beers, but appeared to have consumed more. His mother was contacted and came to take custody of the boy and was advised that he was being charged with underage drinking. The deputies knocked on the door and a male subject who appeared to be a juvenile yelled “we have cocaine and 2 45’s.” Another subject stated that there was a vicious dog inside that hated cops. A female subject finally opened the door and stated that the deputies were not welcome and could not enter the home to interview the occupants. The deputies were advised that since they were not allowed access, that they should document the incident and leave the scene. 4:00 a.m. – To McAdams Dr. for a report of a theft. Woman reported that surveillance video showed that an employee was giving free drinks to everyone at the bar during her shift. She said that she wanted to press charges and would provide a copy of the video. On May 4, she reported that she was unable to pull the video. The deputy contacted his sergeant, who stated that, since the deputy viewed the video, charges could be filed. A warrant was issued for the employee’s arrest for theft. 4:07 a.m. – To Dialton Rd. Male juvenile reported that he was chased by another male juvenile for an unknown reason. He said that this is an ongoing issue that was getting out of control. The mother of the second juvenile stated that the reporting party and several friends were taking turns doing burnouts in front of their home and that one of the friends threw a note into the front yard. The note contained profanity but no direct threats. The mother stated that they followed the reporting party and his friends to confront them. All parties were advised that this conduct needs to stop or charges would be filed. 1:09 p.m. – To Church St. for a report of a neighbor dispute. Woman stated that she had a protection order against her neighbor and that she was told that the neighbor was not allowed within 500 feet of her. She said the neighbors were in their back yard working on the yard, that they were within 500 feet of her, and that she wanted them arrested. She was asked if they said anything to her or made any actions toward her, and she replied that they had not. She was advised that the protection order did not make the neighbors prisoners in their own home and that they were allowed in their own back yard. 7:20 p.m. – To Oaklawn Ave., Medway, for a report of an assault. Woman reported that her daughter was walking around the Crystal Lakes area when a juvenile female subject, with whom the daughter has had problems in the past, came out of her home and called the daughter an unkind name. She said her daughter confronted the subject when the subject tried to hit the daughter, but the daughter blocked the punch. She said the daughter then hit the subject and the two began fighting. The daughter had numerous red marks and bruises and 2-3 lumps on her head. The juvenile female subject’s mother stated that the daughter and her friend were taunting the subject’s sister, thinking that she was the subject. She said the subject then went to fight the daughter and her friend, but the mother followed her to prevent the fight but arrived too late. Further investigation showed that the two had set up a date and time for the fight on Facebook. Since all parties were equally involved in starting the fight, no charges were filed. 7:40 p.m. – To Cooper Ave. for a report of a found item. Woman stated that her son found a cell phone on the corner of Weinland and Cooper. The deputy found a contact on the phone identified as “dad”. The deputy called the number and the man who answered stated that his son had lost his phone. The phone was returned to its owner.
Monday, April 30 7:23 p.m. – To Frayne Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Woman reported that she was outside talking with his boyfriend over his constant lying. The boyfriend admitted that he often lies to her but wanted to work things out. The woman stated that she did not want to work things out, so the boyfriend packed up his belongings and left. 7:29 p.m. – To Prentice Dr. for a report of vandalism. Man reported that the neighbor kids were playing in the back yard and broke his fence. He said he did not wish to press charges and only wanted his fence repaired. The kids’ mother was contacted and stated that she would talk with the man about restitution. 8:33 p.m. – To Detrick Jordan Pike for a report of a theft. Woman reported that her son entered her residence without her permission and took her flat screen TV and an X-box game system and sold them. She was advised that since they were originally a gift to him, that he had the right to do with them as he pleased. 11:35 p.m. – To Galewood Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Woman reported that she was arguing with her intoxicated boyfriend. She said he broke the windshield of her vehicle with a brick and hit the front window of the residence breaking the window and cutting his hand. The boyfriend said he was upset because he just found out that she was pregnant. He was transported to Huber Heights hospital for treatment.
Tuesday, May 1 2:58 p.m. – To N. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of an accident. Three drivers were northbound on Dayton-Lakeview Rd. The first slowed to turn left. The second slowed. The third did not, struck the second vehicle pushing it into the first. He was charged with assured clear distance and ordered into Municipal Court. 9:57 p.m. – To Michael Dr. for a report of a suspicious person. Woman reported that an unknown male knocked on her door twice today. She said she does not know who the man is and is scared because she lives alone. She requested an extra patrol.
Wednesday, May 2 12:55 p.m. – To New Carlisle Pike for a report of an accident. Driver was westbound on New Carlisle Pike when he went off the roadway on the right side. He over-corrected, going off the roadway on the left side and went into the ditch and tree line, causing severe damage to his vehicle. He was charged with failure to control. 3:00 p.m. – To Daleridge Rd. for a report of a breaking and entering. Man reported that he was hired by a mortgage company to do work on a vacant home. He said he arrived today to find that the air conditioning unit and all of the copper plumbing in the home had been removed. He requested a report for the mortgage company. 4:48 p.m. – To Smith St. for a report of an accident. Driver was southbound on Smith St. when a juvenile bicycle rider darted into traffic and was struck. The juvenile received several injuries to his legs and left foot. He was not taken to the hospital by New Carlisle EMS at the request of his mother. 5:02 p.m. – To Grove Rd., Crystal Lakes, for a report of a theft. Man reported that someone took a 450’ extension cord from outside his home. He said that a neighbor told him that a white male, probably in his 30’s, went to the man’s home and took the extension cord. The neighbor said that he yelled at the suspect, but the suspect fled in a two-tone grey Ford Ranger that has been in the area possibly looking for scrap material. 8:39 p.m. – To N. Main St. for a report of an accident. Woman reported that when she returned to her car that was in a parking lot, she found that someone had hit it. Employees of the business said that surveillance video monitored the lot and that it showed a silver Jeep Liberty backed into her vehicle. The video showed that two individuals got out of the Jeep, looked at the damage then fled. The license number was not visible. 8:43 p.m. – To Kennedy Dr. Woman reported that a man and a woman left their home and that their five minor children were home alone. The deputy located the oldest child, age 6, and asked where his mother was. The child tried to open his front door but it was locked. The boy tried to climb in a window just as the parents returned. The mother spoke no English and the father only slightly. The father stated that they just went to pick up his pay check and that they often leave the children home alone. The mother’s sister was contacted and she came to take custody of the children. The parents were charged with child endangerment, and the mother was also arrested on an outstanding warrant. They were both transported to the Clark County Jail. 11:56 p.m. – To E. Main St., Medway, for a report of phone harassment. Man reported that a woman had sent him several threatening and disrespectful text messages that evening. The woman was contacted and admitted to sending the messages and advised that she would stop. The man was given information on obtaining a protection order and was advised to contact his phone company to have her number blocked.
Thursday, May 3 1:52 a.m. – To Winchester & Aspen for a report of a domestic disturbance. Man reported being involved in an argument with his estranged wife and his son at her home. The deputy went to the mother’s home, and she stated that she had been having disciplinary problems with the boy all evening and that they had argued and that he had spoken back to her multiple times. She said he also threw a “rip stick” down the hall, damaging the home. She said she called his father and that they calmly discussed the problem. An argument began when the father suggested that the boy go with him, and she asked him to leave her residence. She said she wishes to file unruly charges against her son. The deputy returned to the father’s home to inform the boy of the charges. 10:14 a.m. – To Main & Lake for a report of an accident. Woman driving southbound on Main St. reported that she was looking at the price of gasoline, then noticed that a vehicle eastbound on Lake Ave. was approaching. She said she then looked up to see that she had a red light. The two vehicles collided causing injury to the driver on Lake Ave. She was charged with failure to obey a traffic control device. 5:30 p.m. – To Lower Valley Pike at the county line for a report of vandalism. Woman reported that she was coming from Huber Heights on Lower Valley Pike. She said that as she entered Clark County, she ran out of gas and parked on the side of the road. She said that when she returned, she found both the front and back windows broken out. A large piece of concrete was found on the front seat. 7:00 p.m. – Woman called to report that she was supposed to move into a home on N. Hampton Rd. She said she discovered that the landlord was dumping chemicals on the property and that she was refusing to move in. She was advised that part of her complaint was a civil issue, and that a report on the dumping of chemicals would be forwarded to the proper authorities. 9:43 p.m. – To Frayne Dr. for a report of a runaway juvenile. Woman reported that her son left the home without permission with some clothes to go to his grandparents’ home on Rosewood Dr. She said that he was upset because she had told him that he had to obey her rules. The deputy followed the mother to the grandparents’ home and spoke with the grandfather, who claimed that the mother had kicked the boy out of the home and that she was not taking him with her. The deputy asked the grandfather if he could speak with the boy, but the grandfather became upset and very belligerent. He said that the deputy was not coming inside and that the mother, who was parked partially on the road and partially on a paved parking space, had to get off of his property. He was advised that the mother had the right to be there while she was with the deputy on official business. This made the grandfather more irate and belligerent, and he began yelling at both deputies and demanding to speak with a supervisor. He finally went in the house and brought the boy to the door. The boy stated that his mother had taken his cell phone and his driver’s license and refused to allow him to visit his grandparents, all for no apparent reason. He also stated that his mother kicked him out of the house and would not allow him to take his school book bag with him. The deputy asked the boy to go inside and collect his belongings and come back outside. While he was doing this, the grandfather continued his belligerent behavior toward the deputies and continued demanding that the mother leave his property. The boy finally returned to the door and was returned to the custody of his mother. The grandfather stated that “this is not over,” and threatened to file complaints with the Sheriff’s office and the Attorney General’s office. 11:58 p.m. – To Walnut Rd., Crystal Lakes, for a report of a domestic disturbance. Woman reported being involved in an argument with her live-in boyfriend after she accused him of having an affair. She said that he grabbed her around the neck, but she showed no visible injuries. Both parties had calmed down when the deputy arrived, and she stated that she would be leaving the home as soon as she figured out where she wanted to go.
Friday, May 4 4:49 p.m. – To N. Main St. for a report of an unwanted guest. Man reported that he was told by several friends that a male suspect had threatened to throw a rock through his windows and damage his motorcycle. He requested that a report be filed in case of future problems. 5:21 p.m. – To Kennison Dr. for a report of criminal damaging. Man filed a report on April 19 stating that he watched a neighbor juvenile on a 4-wheeler ram his fence twice, damaging the fence. The deputy had spoken to the juvenile and his aunt, and they agreed to have the fence repaired. Today he stated that the fence has not been repaired and that the juvenile and his aunt have moved and he does not know how to contact them. He requested a report for his insurance company. Saturday, May 5 12:01 a.m. – To Andrews Lane for a 911 open line. Man reported being involved in an argument with his girlfriend but that the argument was only verbal. The girlfriend was waiting for a ride and agreed that there were no threats and that there was no violence. Neither party could remember what started the argument. The deputy stood by until her ride came. 10:32 a.m. – To Church St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A boyfriend and girlfriend had been arguing over the man’s affair with a woman in California. Both agreed that the argument was only verbal. The man left for the day with their 10-year-old daughter. 12:22 p.m. – To N. Dayton Lakeview Rd. and Troy Rd. for a report of an accident. Driver westbound on Troy Rd. was stopped at the traffic light at Dayton-Lakeview and was turning right. The driver following him did not see him stopped, swerved to the right to avoid colliding, but struck the right side of the rear of his vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle had a physical impairment that may have caused the crash. The deputy submitted a request for recertification of the second driver. 2:44 p.m. – To Milton-Carlisle Rd. for a report of a theft. Man reported that his mailbox and its post had been stolen. The deputy checked along the road but could not find the mailbox. 3:38 p.m. – To Grove Rd., Crystal Lakes, for an anonymous report of a domestic disturbance. A woman at the residence stated that she had been involved in a loud argument with her husband, but that there was no violence. The husband agreed. The woman stated that she was getting ready for work and would be leaving soon. 8:30 p.m. – to Main St., Medway for a report of vandalism. Woman reported that she was driving on Main St. when someone threw a rock at her vehicle breaking a window. She requested a report for her insurance company. 8:56 p.m. – To Lundgren Rd. Man reported hearing a loud “pinging” coming from the rear of his home. He reported that he went to the kitchen and saw something hit his window. He said he opened the door to find two young male suspects in his yard. He said he asked them if they saw what happened and they said that they did not. The deputy went to the home directly behind his and spoke with a male juvenile who stated that he was in the man’s back yard with a friend but did not do anything. 11:30 p.m. – To Styer Dr. for an anonymous report of loud music. The deputy went to the home to tell the resident to turn down the music. While speaking to the resident, the deputy saw several plastic cups and what appeared to be a beer bottle. He asked the resident if he had been drinking and he replied that he had. He asked the resident his age and he replied 19. The deputy asked if there were others in the home who had been drinking and one male and two female subjects were identified and came to the door. One female subject admitted to drinking, but the other said that she had not. The two male and one of the female subjects were charged with underage drinking and ordered into Municipal Court.
