The Tecumseh Arrows wrestling squad competed in the Valley View Invitational recently, finishing seventh out of 12 teams in the event.
Wrestling at 120 pounds for the Arrows was John Miotke, and he won his opening match by pinning Daniel Ross in 0:54 seconds, only to come back in the second round and fall to Zane Brady of Valley View by pin in 3:59.  Miotke recovered in the consolation match by defeating via bye, before being shut out by Chris Eyler of Belmont 15-0.
Daniel Tittle at 126 pounds for Tecumseh fell in his opening match, losing Preston Bowshier of Kenton Ridge via pin in 3:02.  After advancing with a bye in the consolation, he was pinned in the third consolation round by Joe McCloskey of host Valley View in 1:42.
At 132 pounds, Austin Ferguson won his opening round match for the Arrows, pinning Garrett Conklin of West Liberty Salem in 2:36, but lost in the quarterfinal to Seth Cochran of Kenton Ridge 20-7.  Ferguson came back and won his consolation match against Kamal Shakhmandarov of Belmont in 0:55 seconds, but could not survive his second consolation match, losing to Kenton Ridge's Andrew Shirk in 2:36.
Michael Frazier lost his opening match at 138 pounds, falling to James Tecco of Mariemont in 3:27, then came back in his opening consolation match and defeated Carl Popp of Oakwood in 1:34.  Also at that weight class, Will Rose pinned Osman Shakhmandarov of Belmont in 4:22.
In the consolation semi-finals, both Rose and Frazier lost, as Rose fell to Thoryn Jackson of Bellefontaine 12-10 in overtime, and Frazier lost to Austin Land of Valley View in 2:25.
At 145 pounds, Steven Marker fell in his opening match to Cody Ryan of Kenton Ridge 16-0, and after advancing with a bye, he was eliminated with a loss in the third consolation round to Shontez Hutchinson of Winton Woods in 3:29.
Wrestling at 152 was Chuch Buchanan, who advanced with a bye in his opener, and won his semi-final match with Austin Davis of Kenton Ridge in 1:29, and walked out of the event by winning his weight class, bt defeating Travis Francis of Bellefontaine in the finals 6-4.
Weighing in at 160 was Michael Herbert, as he lost his opener to Malcom Smith in 3:47, and after advancing with a bye, he lost to Daniel Bays of Carlisle in 4:10.
At 170, Cody Snyder won his opening match over Jake Jones of Carlisle in 3:34, then lost to Rocco Baker of Oakwood 13-7.  He pinned Justin Lee of Winton Woods to advance, and finsihed fourth overall when he fell to Nate Miller of Bellefontaine 2-1.
Garrett Watson at 182 won his opener over Kody Gustin of Valley View in 4:40, then lost to Gabe Archer of Carlisle, came back with a win in the consolation semis, before finishing third overall with a 12-8 win over Tyler Nelson of Winton Woods.
Jacob Riley at 195 lost his opener, and after winning his next match, Riley lost in the consolation semis. 
At 220, Tristan Taylor also finished 2-2 in the event.
