It was just another week at the office for Tecumseh tennis standout Taylor Culbertson.  The sophomore saw her record improve to 18-0 over this season after a pair of victories last week on the courts.

Culbertson started the week with an easy win over Hailey Winblad 6-0, 6-1, which was the only win for the Arrows as they fell 4-1 to Tippecanoe in Central Buckeye Conference play.

At second singles, Tecumseh's Karli Mulkey lost to Taylor Sutton 6-0, 6-0, while at third singles, it was Tipp's Nefel Supinger defeating Tecumseh's Erica Johnson 6-1, 6-4 to round out the singles play.

At first doubles, the Arrows team of Libby Foland and Megan Davis lost to Kennedy Reeder and Katie Gross 6-1, 6-1, and the second doubles team from Tecumseh, Victoria Holbrook and Morgan Brewer also lost in straight sets to the Red Devils.

Also also week, the Arrows lost a close 3-2 decision to Northeastern.  Culbertson rolled to an easy 6-0, 6-2 victory in her first singles match, while the other Arrows win came at third singles, when Johnson lost the first set of her match, but won when her opponent had to retire from the match.

Mulkey lost at second singles 7-6, 6-4, while both of the Arrows doubles teams fell short.  Davis and Foland lost at first doubles 6-0, 6-0, while Holbrook and Shantel Burnett-Wheeler lost 6-3, 6-3 at second doubles.

* Tecumseh's boys soccer team now stands 11-1 on the season (Monday's late game not included) as they defeated Stebbins 6-0 and Bellefontaine 8-0 last week.  With those wins, the Arrows now stand 8-0 in the Central Buckeye Conference, tied with Tippecanoe for first place in the hotly-contested division.  Both Tecumseh and Tipp are one half game in front of Kenton Ridge, who the Arrows played Monday night after deadline.

Against Stebbins, Alberto Zaragoza leads the conference with 51 total points, and also leads with 24 goals.  Bradley Thomas is close behind in third place overall with 37 points.

Also in the top ten in the league is Alberto Gonzalez, who is seventh overall with 23 points.

Against Stebbins, Zaragoza scored a hat trick with three goals, while Thomas, Gonzalez and Sam Wells each added a goal for the Arrows.

Zaragoza did it again against Bellefontaine, with three goals in the shutout win.  Single goals were scored by Thomas, Gonzalez, Austin Lewis, Conner Budurka and Tyler Adams.

With the two shutouts, it moved the total on the year for eight, with seven of them going to Landon Smith.

Tonight, the Arrows travel to Tippecanoe for a huge CBC matchup, pitting the top two teams in the division.  This game will go a long way in determining who wins this conference.  Gametime is 7:15 at the Tipp Park.

* On the girls soccer side, the Arrows saw their record improve to 7-5 overall, and 6-2 in the league after a pair of wins last week.

Tecumseh defeated Stebbins 6-0 behind two goals from Cassidy Spears.  She now has 37 points on the season.  Ashlee Driscoll added two assists.

Also last week, Tecumseh cruised to an 8-2 win over Bellefontaine in league play.

The Arrows now host Tippecanoe tonight at Spitzer Stadium for a 7:15 start.
