It took the New Carlisle Knights a while to get going, but when they did, they made it count.
After the Cincinnati Colts jumped in front by four runs early, the Knights scored seven runs in the final four innings to win their third game of the season, 12-7 over the Colts.

The game was led off by a bunt single from Daryll Collins, and after a stolen base, the next two were retired.  That’s when the Colts went to work.
A run scoring single Bart Siler and walk to force in a run, and the Colts enjoyed an early 4-0 lead before the Knights even stepped to the plate. In their opening inning, Dave Ridener led off with a single, stole second, and scored when starting pitcher Howard Wooten hit a sacrifice fly to left field, making it 4-1.  The Knights then loaded the bases on walks to Adam Love, Sam Horner and Joe Gough, but Bob Alexander popped out to end the threat.
The Colts left runners at second and third in the third, as Wooten retired the final two batters of the inning keeping their deficit at three.
Not to be outdone, the Knights put two runners on in their half of the third, as Gough grounded out to stop the threat.
In the fourth, the Colts added to their lead, as a two-out error by the Knights infield allowed Mike Cowley to score, giving the Colts a 5-1 lead.
Back came the Knights, sending eight batters to the plate.  Alexander walked to lead off the inning, followed by a single from Tom Helbig.  A bunt single by Jim Greear loaded the bases with nobody out, and a wild pitch scored Alexander.  Ridener then drove in another run, and two outs later, it was a two-run double by Wooten tied the game at 5-5.
Cincinnati came back an inning later on a fielders’ choice to regain the lead, but from there, it was all Knights.
In the sixth, New Carlisle went to work.  Greear singled to lead off the inning, but the next two batters were retired.  With two outs, the Knights did their damage.  Wooten walked, and Greear scored on a wild pitch.  Love also walked, and later pulled off a double steal allowing Wooten to score.  Sam Horner then placed down a squeeze bunt to score Love, and the Knights led 8-6.
While the Colts scored in the seventh, the Knights added three more runs , including one by error and another on a bad throw.
The final run came in the eighth, and they wrapped up their third win of the season, and second in a row.
