Garrett Gemmaka recently traveled to Columbus to compete in an All Ohio Middle School Cross Country meet. 

Only a 5th grader, he ran in a 6th grade & under race.  Garrett took 1st place in the 2-mile race with a time of 12 minutes 23 seconds.  To train for this race Garrett has been under the direction of Dan Vaughan, Tecumseh’s Cross Country Coach.  Garrett has been running competitively for 3 years with Miami Valley Track Club out of Yellow Springs.  The club is affiliated with USA Track & Field Junior Olympics.  Garrett and his brother Andy, who runs for Tecumseh, have traveled from North Carolina to California competing in track & field events and cross country.
