Based on the dry weather conditions and a red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service, the New Carlisle Fire Division has issued a temporary outdoor fire ban.
This ban pertains to all outdoor fires contained by fire rings, pits, or chimneys, or any other outdoor fire regardless of having previously obtained a fire permit. Additionally, citizens are asked to properly dispose of their smoking materials. Overall there is to be no burning of any type during this temporary ban within the City of New Carlisle. Any fire that is reported will be immediately extinguished by the Fire Division. This is a matter of public safety as current weather conditions could promote fire growth and spread. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact the Fire Division at (937) 845-2010.
