This historic building built in 1860 has a new lease on life. We’re merging with Day View. The building will be known as Van Crest of New Carlisle. But even if you know these facts you only know part of the story. There are tons of tender memories coating the walls here.

The Housekeeping manager grins from ear to ear as she tells me “We’ve been waiting for this move for months and finally it’s go time folks!”

The social worker/nurse said “If I cry when we leave it will be a mixture of being sentimental and being joyful for our residents to liv’ she continues of sentimental and joyful t to have a truly beautiful place for our residents to live” As she carried boxes out to her car a guitar-playing minister sang to the residents gathered on the sunny front porch.
