The first scrap disposal at CCCHD last Saturday was a great success with 4,200 tires safely disposed.

This Saturday, August 19, the Clark County Combined Health District (CCCHD) is providing the second of two opportunities for Clark County residents to safely dispose of scrap tires Free of Charge!

Scrap tires hold water which provides an area for mosquitos to reproduce. Mosquitos may carry disease that is detrimental to human health.

The Clark County Combined Health District Health has recently confirmed the presence of West Nile Virus in the local mosquito population.  The free tire disposal event is in effort reduce the risk of the spread of West Nile Virus and other disease to our citizens and visitors.

To reduce the number of scrap tires in our community, the Clark County Combined Health District will collect scrap passenger car/light truck tires at no charge.

There is a limit of 10 tires per trip.
