8:45 p.m. To Carlotta St. for a report of found property. A man reported finding a white cell phone.

8:51 p.m. To N. Church St. for a report of possible ID theft. A woman reported looking up her name and found multiple previous addresses that were not hers.

Saturday 8/26

2:18 a.m. To W. Jefferson St. for a report of an assault. A man reported that he was hit with a baseball bat but would not give details of the suspects. He was uncooperative and said that he hates cops. The RP and her mother identified the two suspects, but would not give details on what led to the assault. She said that the fight might have stemmed from an earlier altercation on Adams St., but would not give many details on the reason. The RP’s brother identified the same two suspects and said that he was also hit, but would not give details. The RP was checked by New Carlisle Medics because she was 7 months pregnant. The RP’s brother refused treatment. The man who was struck was taken to Huber Heights for treatment for a deep laceration on his head.

5:34 a.m. To Troy Rd. for a report of a burglary. A woman reported that several pieces of costume jewelry and several furniture items were taken from her home.

11:40 a.m. While stationary on N. Main St. a man approached the deputy and turned in a trailer license plate that he had found.

12:09 p.m. To N. Scott St. for a report of found property. A woman reported finding an uncapped syringe.

Monday 8/28

1:28 p.m. To Klose Ave. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that three 4-wheelers and a dirt bike were stolen from her shed.

3:54 p.m. To W. Washington St. for a report of breaking and entering.

Tuesday 8/29

8:58 a.m. To White Pine St. for a report of a burglary. A man reported that someone had entered his home, but nothing was taken.

4:53 p.m. To N. Adams St. for a report of a theft. A man reported that two firearms and some ammunition were stolen from his home.

5:19 p.m. To S. Dayton-Lakeview Rd. for a report of a theft. A woman reported that someone stole her i-phone.

8:12 p.m. To McAdams Dr. for a report of a fight. A man reported that he has been having issues with a male subject and tonight when he walked past the subject, the subject tried to fight him. He said that he was assaulted and walked away. An off-duty West Milton Police officer was on the scene and recorded the fight on video. The video showed the subject striking the victim and kicking him in the legs. The subject was arrested for one count of assault. The jail refused him because of mental health concerns, so he was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for evaluation. The victim was found to have an outstanding warrant from Enon for failure to appear. He was taken to the Clark County Jail. While being patted down, a deputy located a black case containing a plastic bag filled with marijuana and a smoking pipe. He was charged with one count of drug abuse and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ordered into court on September 1. He plead Not Guilty and his case was continued.

9:45 p.m. To Aspen Rd. for a report of a suspicious person looking into residences and getting into vehicles.

Unspecified time To Park Dr. for a report of a stolen vehicle. A man reported that Charles Buchanan came to his residence and asked for a ride to get beer. He said he told Buchanan that his wife was at work and he had the kids. He said that Buchanan told him that he was going to ride his bike to the gas station. Later that day, he noticed that his truck was missing. The man’s wife, the owner of the vehicle, said that she wanted to press charges. The deputy then went to the New Carlisle substation to complete his report. At 7:45 p.m., he was called back to the Park Dr. address and saw the truck in the driveway. Later that day, deputies were called to the area of Winchester and Aspen for a report of a possible burglary in progress. Buchanan was the suspect. He was taken into custody, charged with criminal trespass and vehicle theft. He was ordered into court on 8/31. He failed to show up for his court date, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Bond was posted at $5500.

Unspecified time To Cedar Rd. for a report of a domestic dispute. Dispatch then advised that the RP, a third party, had picked up the victim and they were waiting for the deputy on Copey’s parking lot. The female victim said that dispatch advised her to leave the house and come to Copey’s to meet the deputy. She said that she and her husband were involved in a domestic dispute and that he had flipped her glasses off of her head and they fell and broke. She said he then pushed her down and kneed her on her head. She said her husband has an active warrant, and the deputy was able to confirm the warrant. She said that her husband might be in an abandoned house across the street from their home. Deputies entered the abandoned house and found the husband inside. He was arrested for domestic violence and assault and for the outstanding warrant. He has a previous domestic violence conviction, making this charge a felony. He was ordered into court on September 1, where his attorney plead Not Gulity and demanded a trial by jury.

Wednesday 8/30

1:05 a.m. To Weinland St. for a report of a burglary.

1:05 a.m. To Smith Park for a report of an assault.

4:10 a.m. To Orth Dr. for a report of a domestic disturbance.

8:33 a.m. To Ohio Ave. for a 911 open line. Dispatch could hear a woman screaming for help. Deputies arrived to find the woman on the bedroom floor. She said that her son entered her bedroom while she was in bed and started hitting her. She said he grabbed her around her neck and threatened to slit her throat with a knife. She said he then knocked her to the floor. The son said he did not know what happened because he blacked out. He was arrested and taken to the Clark County Jail. The woman refused transport and said she would find a ride to the hospital. The son was ordered into court on August 31, where his attorney plead Not Guilty and demanded a jury trial.

11:38 p.m. To School Rd. for a report of a domestic disturbance. A man reported that his wife and son were arguing. The son, in a fit of rage, gathered his belongings and left the home on foot. When the deputy arrived, the son had settled down. No charges were warranted.

Bethel Twp (Miami)

Wednesday 8/23

2:07 a.m. Traffic stop for equipment violation in the area of Flick Rd and US Route 40. Deputy observed vehicle didn’t have working taillights. Traffic stop was initiated and contact made with driver, Tiffany Young. Young stated her passenger, a family member, was having medical issues and they were on their way to the hospital. Young’s information was run through LEADS and it showed her driver’s license was failure to reinstate. Deputy followed her to Huber Medical Center and let her passenger seek treatment. Young was warned for the taillights and given a citation for Failure To Reinstate,

Friday 8/25

1:41 p.m. Disorderly conduct reported in the 8700 block of S. State Route 201. After further investigation, the individual was located and transported to Huber Heights Emergency Center for treatment.

4:41 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. State Route 201 and Studebaker Road. Deputy observed vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign. Contact was made with driver, Christopher Bosma, who stated he was suspended when deputy asked for his driver’s license. Running Bosma’s information through LEADS, it was confirmed he was driving under suspension. He was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving under suspension. The vehicle was released to a valid driver.

9:12 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. State Route 202 and Tipp Elizabeth Road. Deputy observed vehicle cross the fog line several times. Traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with driver, Mikala Fansler. She stated she didn’t have her driver’s license on her person but provided her social security number. Running this information through LEADS, it was found she was driving under suspension. Fansler was cited for failure to reinstate and marked lanes. The vehicle was released to a valid driver.

Saturday 8/26

9:27 a.m. Traffic stop in the 8200 block of S. State Route 201.

8:56 p.m. Traffic stop in the area of S. State Route 202 and E. State Route 571. Deputy observed vehicle make several marked lane violations and traffic stop was initiated. Contact was made with the driver Jezyrise Denise Lesean Christion and reason for the stop explained. Upon initial contact, deputy detected an odor of raw and burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Observed in the vehicle was a burnt joint inside the cup holder. Christion admitted he had been smoking and pulled out a baggie of raw marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded four plastic baggies in the center console, a burnt joint from inside the console and a brownie that contained THC. Christion was cited for the marked lanes violation, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Sunday 8/27

8:45 p.m. Telecommunication harassment in the 4800 block of Studebaker Road. RP stated she and her boyfriend had been threatened over the phone by another female. RP requested a report be filed on the incident.

Tuesday 8/29

2:36 a.m. Suspicious vehicle at Bethel High School, 7490 S. State Route 201. Deputy was conducting a building and grounds check of the school when he observed a pickup truck sitting in the middle of the soccer fields. Once the driver saw the spotlight, he drove the truck from the field to the parking lot. The driver was identified as a 20 year old male from Huber Heights. The passenger was a 15 year old female from Bethel Township. This case is pending further investigation with possible charges.

Wednesday 8/30

9:11 p.m. Trespassing complaint at Indian Creek Distillery, 7095 Staley Road. RP advised the trespassers all walked east bound on Staley Road. Deputy located an individual near a silver Nissan that was parked alongside Staley Road. At the conclusion of on scene investigation, a juvenile was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The matter of trespassing is currently pending further investigation.
