At the July 6, 2016 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, the commissioners amended the contract for the County Engineer with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the Derr Road construction projection. The total cost of the project is estimated to cost $5,487,000. ODOT will provide up to 80% of the funding up to $4,317,198 for construction, engineering and inspection. In addition, they will provide up to $320,000 for design and $224,474.50 for right of way activities.

In addition, Commissioner John Detrick announced that the Lower Valley Construction Project is now complete and the road is open to regular traffic.

For the Emergency Management Department, the commissioners approved a contract with Sam Asher Computing Services, Inc. for $14,000 annually to provide a mass notification system Hyper Reach to provide notification services to the county residents in case of a disaster. The contract is effective June 1, 2016 through May 31, 2019.

For the Department of Job and Family Services, the commissioners extended the contract with Family and Youth Initiative for an additional month to provide Workforce Investment Act (WIOC) job training activities.

For Building and Grounds, they approved the purchase of two 2016 Ford 150 from White’s Ford for $43,714.40 to replace a 2001 Chevrolet S10 and a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, which will be available to purchase through the online auction.

The next meeting of the Clark County Commissioners is scheduled for July 13, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Conferences Room at 50 E Columbia Street.
