At the May 17, 2017 meeting of the Clark County Commissioners, the Commissioners authorized a sub-grant agreement with the Ohio Department of Medicaid for Department of Job and Family Services (DJFS) to establish the terms, conditions, and requirements governing the administration and the use of financial assistance received by DJFS. The grant agreement is effective July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019.
In addition, the commissioners approved the two contracts for DJFS. First, they approved the purchase of G*Stars Tracking System for $24,000 from American Government Systems effective June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2019.
The also approved a contract for DJFS with Staples Contract and Commercial, Inc. for $20,000 for janitorial supplies effective May 17, 2017 through December 31, 2017.
For the Engineer, the commissioners approved a rental agreement with The CAT Rental Store for $45,000 effective May 17, 2017 through February 28, 2018 and accepted bids for Asphalt Emulsion, Fog Seal and No. 8 Aggregate. The bids are being studied by the Engineering Department before final contracts are granted.
The commissioners also approved a decrease in the contract with Brumbaugh Construction, Inc. by $2,269.78 to reflect actual quantities used in the construction.
For Building and Grounds, the commissioners approved an increase in the contract with Quality Masonry Company by $8,330 with to cover unanticipated repairs to the stone foundation of the Courthouse discovered after cleaning the exterior stone wall.
For the Sheriff’s Department, the commissioners approved the submission of a grant from the Ohio’s Traffic Safety for $68,906.48 to increase traffic safety education, enforcement and awareness effective October1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.
In regular business, the commissioners passed a resolution in support of B-W Greenway Community Land Trust’s grant application to Clean Ohio Fund to add 200 feet of boardwalk at the Anderson Fen.
