Officials at Tecumseh Local Schools report that they are operating as normal today, following vague social media threats of a shooting at “SHS.”

“We have procedures in place for threats like this,” said Superintendent Norm Glismann. “Our administration is trained to handle things like this, and they are following procedures.”

Glismann added that parents have a right to be concerned about anything that might affect their child’s safety.

“We encourage our students to report anything that they find troubling,” said Glismann. “Kids today live on social media, and we have had several students report things and we have followed up.”

Attendance did not seem to be affected. “We’re in the flu season and we have one or two out, but nothing more than that,” said Tecumseh High School Principal Ivan Gehret. He added that two deputies were at the school today.

We are expecting official word from the Clark County Sheriff’s office on the school threat and will be updating this story when we hear from them.
