known to his family as “Wally”, passed away in Mesa, Ariz., on Thursday morning April 21, 2016.

Born on Oct. 27, 1946, he was the first of four children of the late Walter and Mary Danison, longtime residents of New Carlisle. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1964, got his bachelors in education and master of science in chemistry from Miami University, and later earned a law degree at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law while working full-time. During his career, he worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent Office and as a patent attorney.

Walter enjoyed sports, especially baseball and hiking and running. He is survived by two sons Tim Danison of San Francisco and Brian Danison of Cleveland and seven grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Paul, of Mission Viejo, Ca., and two sisters Debbie Leisure of Surprise, Ariz. and Mary Jeanne of Anchorage, Alaska.
