of New Carlisle, Ohio, lost his year and a half long battle with Cancer early Wednesday morning, December the 9th, 2015. Cecil was born on January 27, 1935 In Ivyton, Kentucky, a small community in Magoffin County. This January he would have celebrated his 81 birthday. He was born to Callie and Gracie (Fletcher) Risner, and was the second youngest of seven children. Cecil was a hardworking man, who believed that if you worked hard, and set your mind to it you could achieve anything. He worked in home improvement and repair in the Dayton area for nearly 50 years, many of those years he spent working for Zephyr Home Improvements. Cecil was an avid classic Cadillac collector, and won many trophies and ribbons by showing one of his prized Cadillac’s at car shows across the region. Cecil also loved to hunt, and spent many Sunday mornings turkey shooting at the 40 & 8 Voiture in Huber Heights, Ohio. Cecil was also a member of the American Legion Post 200, and the VFW 1383. Along with his parents, Cecil was proceeded in death by daughter Patricia L. Booher (Risner), four brothers James, Paul, Charles, and Earl Risner, and one sister Emogene Puckett (Risner). He is survived by wife of 25 years Beverly Risner, one daughter, Barbara (Bernard) Loeb, step-daughter Laura Bryan, three step-sons, William, Daniel, and Mark Dickenson, three grandchildren, Justin and Brandon Booher and Evan Loeb, and many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, special nephew Donnie Puckett and numerous other nieces and nephews, best friends Joe and Donnis Dotson. In lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to the NRA (National Riffle Association) in which Cecil was a member. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 AM- 1 PM, Monday December 14, 20152015 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.  Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.trostelchapman.com.
