age 89, Troy, OH passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Dayview Nursing Home in New Carlisle, OH. She was born on April 19, 1926 in Letitia, KY to the late Lebern and Dovie (Pack) Boggs. She was married to Julius E. Evans. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Kathleen is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: William and Carol Evans of Jacksonville, FL, Roy and Paulette Evans of Ashland, KY, James and Shelia Evans of Troy, OH, Elijah “Bruce” and Ruth Evans Sr. of Troy, OH and Freddie Evans of Jacksonville, FL; one brother: Paul Boggs of Pleasant Hill, OH; one sister: Gathel Petuca of Otway, OH; and 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: George and infant Clarence; four brothers: Virgil, Carl, James and Clayton Boggs; two sisters: Ada Moore and Amanda Taylor; two grandsons: Adam and Neil; one granddaughter: Sonja; and one great-great-granddaughter: Harley.
Kathleen formerly worked in housekeeping at Dettmer Hospital in Troy. She was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Baird Funeral Home in Troy with Pastor Paul Richards officiating. Interment followed in the Forest Hill Memorial Gardens in Vandalia, OH. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
