| Pike Township Expands EMS Staff Hours |

Pike Township trustees have added another six hour paid shift of EMS personnel, giving the township coverage from 6:00 am to midnight. The hours between midnight and 6:00 am are still covered by volunteers.  EMS Chief Cliff Christy presented Trustees at their July 6 meeting a bid specification for the remount of the original squad on a new chassi. The trustees will be reading it, run it by Lisa Fannin, the Township’s legal advisor, and then will call a special meeting to approve the specifications. Township Zoning Inspector Alex Turner informed Trustees that crack sealing of many of the township roads is going well and should be done soon.  Trustees also hired Ray Hensley, Inc. to do work on several of the township’s roads. Roads to be chip sealed are Myers Rd. (from Detrick Jordan to Folk Ream), Fields Rd. (from Addison-New Carlisle to Ayers), Studebaker Rd. (from Ballentine to Ayers), Short Rd. (from Ballentine to Jackson Twp.), Ansbaugh Rd. (from Ballentine to Stott) and Stott Rd. (from Dialton Rd. to North Hampton Rd.).  Roads to receive skin patch are Johnson Rd. (from Myers to Folk Ream), Myers Rd., Funderburg Rd. (from Sigler to Twp Line), Sigler Rd. (from 235 to Liberty Rd.), School Rd., Fields Rd. (from Addison-New Carlisle to Ayers), Studebaker Rd. (from Ballentine to Ayers) and Short Rd. from Ballentine to Jackson Twp.)  In official action, Pike Township Trustees: Â
